3.4 · 78 reviewsThe facility is very nice. Everyone who works there is very nice! I didn't get everyone's name but I want to give a shout out to Luanne, Megan, and Veronica. They are the physical and occupational therapists who got me fit to go home. The food is also very good. There is a lady who works in the kitchen, whose name I don't remember, that made sure I had plenty to eat. I'm vegetarian. I wish I had learned the recipes or at least the seasonings used. If I ever need to have physical therapy in a facility again I would chose Altercare in Mayfield Village.
My aunt was recently a patient at Altercare Mayfield Village for a month. SOME of the staff and aides were nice especially Gabriella, she was helpful with getting my aunt all her important information. Mervin was nice and comical also the very nice lady at the front desk I am sorry I didn’t get her name she was so sweet she always greeted me with her beautiful smile. Fran was very nice in helping my aunt RYW with playing bingo and giving prizes as well. It was definitely an experience for me, no place is perfect but I am glad my aunt didn’t have any major problems.
Room was dirty on arrival. 24 urine smell. Residents eat breakfast sitting in their own urine. Most aides are unfriendly and do not want to be there. Unprofessional staff. Unsanitary conditions. Flies and gnats landing on residents and food. Understaffed. Unresponsive and sometimes no response when you press your button for help. Would not send my worst enemy there. I couldn’t get my mom out of there fast enough.

What a fantastic facility. The staff are very nice. Clinical services are very strong and made me feel confident that I chose the right facility ! Administrator and admin staff are always available to help. The dining services food is really good ! The best I have ever seen or tasted in short term rehab.
Today I discharged my mom from this facility, for negligence, they dropped my mom off to an appointment they never had permission to take her, never ask nor told me about it they left her there by herself, with her medical history that never should have happened, on top of that, today was cold and raining, my mom had No Coat, No Shoes or Hat on , just a thin shirt and pants I took up there for a therapy with a thin folded sheet on her shoulders, the hospital knew my mom is never with out me and she's always dressed well, so UH called to inform me that she was at the clinic by herself etc. I no longer felt that my mom was safe to be there and I no longer trust the staff to care for her nor make any decisions on her behalf. The facility staff do not care about their patients, they are just a number and money signs and they love to milk the insurance company even when they could discharge the patients sooner they wait until the insurance companies to say they no longer paying for therapy or treatment. Never leave your loved ones unattended or without visiting on a regular basis, be observant, only a few really cared, the other 97% No!
Fantastic place
My wife was there for approximately 2 weeks to rehab a broken hip. Staff was great. Great communication from the care team. We would 100% return if needed.
My mom has been in Altercare for the last month. The facility was very clean and her occupational and physical therapy have been amazing! She has progressed very nicely under their care. The support staff has been very kind and easy to work with! I would highly recommend Altercare in Mayfield Village, Ohio for skilled nursing rehabilitation.
