Anchor Lodge Retirement Village is a clean, welcoming community with a caring and compassionate staff. They treat residents with kindness and respect, creating a warm, family-like atmosphere. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality senior care.
The food here has always been decent, but recently I had my gall bladder removed and things I ate for 75 years are bothering me. Kelly came in and we worked out a menu for me of things to substitute when there are typically items that could upset my system. She comes in several times a week to see how I am doing. I can't say in words how much I appreciate her.

Anchor lodge has been one of the best facilities my family had dealt with in this long journey of my loved one’s recovery. The staff is so kind , caring and attentive. The managerial staff has always been there if we ever needed anything explained or any general help! Would recommend them to anyone if you want someone to treat your loved one like it was their loved one!
I had a wonderful experience with my Mom at Anchor Lodge. All of the staff were kind and the office staff were always available to help navigate insurance questions and discharge information. I have had distant relatives there in the past and would recommend to others! Thank you!
Our father was devastated when he learned that despite his hard work with PT to rebuild strength in rehabilitation, he could no longer safely return to his assisted living apartment. He reacted with vehement protests, listing impossible promises in attempts to negotiate his way back to independence. Social Services Director A.J. Tarpley was our ROCK. She values knowing the residents personally, and understands what makes each person unique. She took the time to really listen to Dad's anxieties and concerns, and went the extra mile to find a way address his special needs while level-setting realistic expectations for the transition. He now consistently remarks how pleased he is with his new room! We are so grateful for the professionalism and compassion provided by the staff at Anchor Lodge. Thank you for the care you provide on so many levels.
I had a good experience taking my mother there AJ was so kind and loving my mother just loves her and if i ever had to go bring her back to Lorain Anchor Lodge will be the place very nice people Thank you AJ for everything you have done God bless you great job 👏
Beautiful facility with wonderful lake views!! Therapy staff is top notch—they treat their patients with so much kindness, compassion and respect.
