My mom died while under their care. She was only there for about a month and was failing quickly the last week she was there. Even though I alerted staff and doctors every day about her urgent condition, they declined to provide additional care or upgrade her case. My mom died while under their care. She was only there for about a month and was failing quickly the last week she was there. Even though I alerted staff and doctors every day about her urgent condition, they declined to provide additional care or upgrade her case. On about the fifth day, I asked the head nurse to call for an ambulance and she adamantly said "no, I won't call EMS," because her condition "wasn't an emergency." I insisted and she said she would call for a medical transport, which she claimed would come in a couple hours. Around seven hours later, they picked her up. During the wait, mom's blood sugar dropped to dangerous levels, along with her blood pressure, shallow breathing, plus she was increasingly delerious and delusional. Upon arrival to the emergency room, mom was quickly elevated to emergency status. She lapsed into a coma after several hours despite the staff's best attempts. She remained comatose until her death about seven days later. I called the nursing home to complain to management and they said there was nothing else they could have done. I personally spoke to the head nurse who told me that there was no need to call EMS because she was "sick when she came to the facility." In fact, her condition was stable at time of admission and only declined while under their care. Frankly, their responses were compassionless and cold. In additon, they called me back a couple days later and told me I was banned from visiting residents at the facility because a staff member reported that I had told residents that they "killed her." This was patently false because I didn't blame the staff at that time. I've been working on a law suit for some time now and don't expect any results unless I spend a lot of money that I don't have. This is probably my only recourse and I hope it will convince other families to send their loved ones elsewhere.
This place is disgraceful . Walk in the Door the stench of Urine hits you right in the face .Carpets all stained in all the hallways. The rooms there don’t ever get cleaned. Could not get new sheets for the bed Made my loved one wait hours to get them.flies all over and fruit flies landing on my sick family member. Shame on your facility !!!!
Facility was very clean and the staff was extremely attentive.
Arbors at Streetsboro staff members go above and beyond to care for people and give all they have to ensure great service!!
My loved one recently stayed at Arbors, and our family had a great experience. The staff was kind, patient, and always took the time to answer our questions. It gave us peace of mind knowing she was being well cared for. Everyone made us feel welcome, and the therapy team helped her make real progress. We’re very thankful for the care she received and would recommend Arbors to other families.
They have a real friendly team who goes above and beyond to make sure the residents have what they need. Also, they have in house dialysis, vent/trach unit and skilled rehab that will blow you away!!! This place is cookin….
My father came to Arbors at streetsboro and we couldn't have found a better place. The staff are terrific. They treat him with TLC all the way 100 per cent!! GOD bless everyone at Arbors for all they do for our Dad and the other people Who are there. The staff are definitely angels 😇 from heaven!!
My mother was at Arbor's for 2 weeks to rehab after being at UH Portage County for a week. The staff was always friendly, helpful and accommodating. However, there were 4 people that shined and made a lasting impression on my wife and me. Nonie and Dar will always be special because of the friendship and bond they have with my mom. Oliver is a great human being. Very polite and caring. Always visited and checked on my mom when we were there. TeShauna went above and beyond regarding paperwork between Arbor's and the hospital. She kept in contact with me regarding the paperwork. I witnessed her on the phone with the hospital and the other person wasn't being very friendly. She handled it LIKE A BOSS!!! I wouldn't have been so calm and professional. Lauren was friendly, upbeat, caring and very empathetic. She always communicated with my wife and I regarding information about my mom's medication and what the Nurse Practioner said. Monica was and is OUTSTANDING. To say she was great would be an understatement. She is very empathetic, kind hearted and compassionate. She kept in touch even when she wasn't at work. If I was the owner of Arbor's Streetsboro, I'd give them a raise before another facility does. Talented, caring and compassionate professional individuals...great human beings..are hard to find. We met 4 at Arbor's. THANK YOU!!!
