Staff was pleasant yet not a safe environment for my father. Would not recommend.

Working with someone that came from here. The stories im hearing and the things that happened to him are awful. Be very careful in choosing this place. Your parents will be dropped they will fall then be just put back into bed and not looked over at the hospital. They will not be safe here. Looks are not everything please do your research.

This is actually a zero star. PLEASE... read all the negative reviews before placing your loved one at Blossom for long term elderly care!! The rehabilitation side of the center for short term care is a bit nicer. When it comes to long term care the negative posts are accurate. Most of the staff and nurses are very rude. There is no communication to the family and our loved one was being neglected due to no communication between the staff. If you need to speak to the social worker, they take days to get back to you regarding any issues you have.The website is not accurate in the description of the rooms, food(horrible) or laundry service. Rooms are made for one person and are the size of a small bedroom and they squeeze in 2 patients. The rooms are dirty and none of the rooms on the elderly side have a telephone in them. Your elderly loved one has to have a cell phone in order to call you or use a community phone if pemitted to do so. Items are constantly misplaced or lost. Please steer clear of Ohman facilities in Newbury, Middlefield and Huntsburg for elderly care. They also use a staffing agency for their staff, so your loved one will not always have the same people caring for them daily. This effects the quality of care they receive or don't receive for that matter! Nurses and staff were also seen on cellphones and too busy talking about each other while their patients are waiting to be helped. It's sad that our elderly loved ones and their family are treated with such a lack of respect and care at their final stage of life. Place is a mess. Notice that in the reviews, only the positive reviews get feedback from Ohman Blossom. They don't address the real issues.

I am beyond relieved that I chose Ohman Blossom for my grandmothers long term care. They have been exceptional. They are great at communicating right away and work with families. Her call light is always answered within minutes. All of the staff and Lori, the social worker are compassionate and so kind. There are always activities to get them involved and to keep them busy. I toured many facilities and facilities that “looked newer” but I’m so glad I passed those because the care at Ohman is top-notch. This was such a hard decision but I feel so much better knowing she’s in good hands.
