They ruined my family members health: she was getting abused and of course started having behaviors, getting very anxious, panic attacks, suicidal. They allowed an 80 year old to get addicted to multiple benzos a day and now she cannot be without them, antipsychotics as well. She never took those in her life, as an 80 year old with dementia this should NOT BE ALLOWED!! SHUT DOWN THIS FACILITY!!!

I've been to many many different nursing homes!! This one may not look the greatest or always smell the greatest. But I know without a doubt your loved ones are taken care of. Dementia and Alzheimer's are a hard disease and a harder reality to swallow when it comes to your loved one! Care, compassion, trust and love is what this place gives to their residents on a daily basis! You can always volunteer to help 🫢. The administration and managers are 100% always on the ball when it comes to any incident or problem that may arise. Their first thought is keeping their residents safe and out of…

Great caring staff! Thank you for all you do!

DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONE GO HERE!! My mother in law began living at Berea Alzheimer's Care Center in November 2024, finally in July 2025 we were able to remove her to a safe facility. The people here neglect their patients. Physically my mother in law was in great shape but as you can tell from the photos, she was a disaster when she arrived at her new nursing facility. The new nursing facility had to take her to the Emergency Room due to her blood pressure being insanely high. When we would visit her at Berea, the facility always smelled really bad, as if they cleaned the dirty adult diapers but once a week. It's just not a good facility. Oh and beware of the 4 and 5 starred comments, some are from employees of the facility.

the heartbreaking neglect my aunt went through is devastating. our family tried to help her and they blocked it. they wouldn’t listen to us when we begged them to help her.

All the staff at Berea Alzheimer’s Center took good care of my mother who was in their care for about 6 months. The office staff assisted me with the whole process of intake and making accommodation for anything that we needed. I greatly appreciate all they did for my mother and for our family to make every process easier. They actually care and take their roles seriously.

My mom was a resident of Berea Alzheimer's Care Center. The best thing I liked about it was that the facility was dedicated just to Alzheimer's patients. The staff was nice, but I walked away from there feeling like my mother was a burden and they couldn't do anything for her. It just seemed like with her actions or whatever the case may be, it was too much for them, and they would rather just not deal with it. That's how I felt, that they didn't want to deal with her. However, there were a couple of good nurses. The food was a well-rounded meal, and it was tasty. The structure of the building was very good, but the smell could have been better. They have arts and crafts. They were teaching them money skills and counting. They put pictures on the patient's wall. The rooms were a comfortable size, and the layout was nice. It was like two patients in a room, and it looked like there was enough room.

We just had to sign my mother out after finding another patient’s feces spread all over her room and bed. We had already complained about this particular patient entering her room several times and nothing was done about it. About 20 minutes after catching the patient leaving her room (after spreading feces) I went to check that the room was cleaned, I found the same patient lying in my mother’s bed. While this man was walking around and going into other patients rooms, there were about three nurses sitting at a table in the cafeteria, just chatting away, So I’m not sure if they’re shortstaffed or if they just don’t care, but they are not watching their patients. I would not advise anyone to let their loved ones. Stay at that facility. I’m attaching a pic of the soiled bed taken after the room was “cleaned”! Btw… after all of this happened my daughter and I witnessed the patient walking around with feces still on his sweat pants, so someone’s family member was allowed to walk around covered in feces.
