Edited to respond: It’s not very reassuring that I’m seeing nearly identical responses across multiple reviews. I know corporate speak when I see it, and healthcare professionals should not incorporate this kind of language when their work is so important. Instead, answer this: why did my grandpa lay in bed unresponsive for over 48 hours before any imaging was done? Why did multiple nurses mention a DNR to me; did they realize he was there for a broken ankle, and that any sudden emergency SHOULD be treated? Edited to respond: It’s not very reassuring that I’m seeing nearly identical responses across multiple reviews. I know corporate speak when I see it, and healthcare professionals should not incorporate this kind of language when their work is so important. Instead, answer this: why did my grandpa lay in bed unresponsive for over 48 hours before any imaging was done? Why did multiple nurses mention a DNR to me; did they realize he was there for a broken ankle, and that any sudden emergency SHOULD be treated? My mom and I were the first people that noticed his pupils weren’t responding to light. Why is that not part of the standard of care when a patient becomes unresponsive? I don’t even work in healthcare and I was able to notice at least two astounding points of failure. My grandpa went to this nursing home with a broken ankle a month ago. He had moderate dementia, so we knew it was an uphill climb, but definitely a manageable condition. The nurses, aides and therapists were incredible and did what they could to help him. The system itself? Horrible. Everything moves so slow. Two weeks ago he started slowly drifting out of consciousness. Instead of immediately acting to find the problem, he had a different nurse every single night that had very little info from the previous shift. Each nurse was showing up like “wow, I haven’t seen him like this before.” They did what they could but the structure they were given is not conducive to taking care of patients. He finally became unresponsive 3 days ago. Instead of sending him to the hospital to figure out what was going on, he just laid there and got worse. After two days, they finally found out he had pneumonia. It’s too late to help him now. He will be on his way to Hospice soon. Thank you to the nurses and all of the staff that helped him. For-profit healthcare is evil. Get away from this place and go somewhere you can actually help people.
My mom spent 6 or so weeks at Rosemount after she broke her hip and had surgery. Everyone was so attentive and took such excellent care of her. The rehab program was wonderful and got her walking and moving better than she had in years. They listened to any concerns we had and addressed them quickly and did everything they could to help keep my mom happy, healthy, comfortable, and safe. I can’t say enough good things. They were also excellent at communicating with me about my mom and her care, what was going on, things coming up, etc.
I was not impressed with this facility at all. The staff delayed important procedures that put my mother's health at risk. An agency nurse falsified paperwork about pain medicine. This caused my mother to miss seven doses of her pain medicine. In this establishment, the left hand doesn't speak to the right. When you're dealing with people's health and comfort, it's a big deal. The only positive thing I can say is that the social worker, Julia, was helpful and seemed to have my mother's best interests at heart.
The staff took great care of my wife, treated her with the greatest of respect. I was treated like I was important when I visited her and was included in activities most of the time. I would recommend it for anyone recovering from sickness or injuries.
Love the staff ,they go beyond and take really good care of everyone
I have been a resident there for almost 1 year, The therapy team is excellent along with the nursing department, I highly recommend this place. Staff is nice and caring
Wouldn't recommend this place for anyone, warehouse for the sick and elderly, and yes hospice calls the parents dead while there still breathing
My sister in law was there for short term care due to dementia Everytime I visited it smelled like urine. My brother in law was constantly them because they wasn't doing their job in talking care of her hygiene. He was there every day. One day if he hadn't been there, they would've given her the wrong medication. An aid came in and called her by the wrong name and said I have your meds. ( She can't talk, so that could have been a disaster!) My brother said that's not her name. She then and only then checked the chart, and said you're right it's not her. So incompetent! They didn't do anything when he reported it. So glad when he took her out of there.
