I spent time in this place a little over a year ago for rehabilitation after a major surgery. For the first month I was there, I had zero showers. I kept asking when I would be taken for a shower and the nurse would tell me she would have to check to see when my shower days were, when in fact, she was noting in my charts that I was refusing my shower days. Another nurse said she was good at that because she didn't like showering people. There were times I spent more than 12-14 hours with no one in or out of my room, other than when our meals were delivered (which was sometimes forgotten…

I kept asking when I would be taken for a shower and the nurse would tell me she would have to check to see when my shower days were, when in fact, she was noting in my charts that I was refusing my shower days. Another nurse said she was good at that because she didn't like showering people. There were times I spent more than 12-14 hours with no one in or out of my room, other than when our meals were delivered (which was sometimes forgotten -saying someone marked me out of the building) and although I was starting to walk again, I was unsteady, could have fallen and no one would have known. There was an elderly man in the room next to mine who was falling out of his bed almost daily sometimes. I heard nurses yelling at him because he would turn his light on, no one would come to his room and he would yell out for help until he would try to move himself and fall. They would yell at him for not being patient and wasting their time. Being patient is one thing but having to wait 30 minutes to an hour for someone to respond to your call light is something else. I experienced those waits myself a couple times. The rooms are dingy, nothing is cleaned well. I would clean and sanitize my own room. The nurses always complimented me on how nice my room looked and smelled. A lot of the staff were very nice but most were not. One staff member came to work (which was the one who denied me my showers) and she smelled horrible. She smelled like cigarettes and feces. Her hygiene was the worst. I finally complained and asked them to give me someone other than her because of her order and hygiene issues. There is so much more I could speak out about this place but don't have that much time. What I will say is the residents there deserve SO MUCH BETTER.

I don’t even know where to start with this place. Some of the staff is friendly other then that this place is by far the worst nursing home I’ve ever seen. From the moment we got my grandma there we had issues and NONE were resolved. She was suppose to be there for therapy they rarly got her out of bed. There was NOTHING in her room besides a bed with NO Rails and a hospital table. She had a broken walker in her room and a wheelchair that was to big for her. We were told we had to supply everything else even a chair to get her out of bed. They stopped her meds that she was to be given to keep her strong. They never gave her meds that she had been on for years. She got a UTI and went untreated for ten days they said they were waiting on the results which I’ve never known a place to take that long for a UTI result. She had several bruises on her that we brought to their attention. We ended up talking her out and returning her to the hospital, we wheeled her to the hospital since they wouldn’t help transfer her. I could go on and on. Oh wait don’t let me forget they have not 3 not 2 but ONE nurse at night for all residents. I would do very good research before sending your loved ones here esp if you want them to ever get better. *several people we know in the medical field told us to get her out of here immediately

This place is awesome...thank you.

Very clean facility, very pleasant staff and always willing to help or fix any problems that arise

Recently had a tour. The staff was very kind & courteous. They were all very kind and welcoming

This nursing home should be shut down until the air conditioning is fixed. My father was admitted and his room was 80 degrees and his ac in his room was broken. They had portable air conditioners in the hallways but it wasn't good enough to keep the rooms cool. I don't understand why they would even accept him knowing the conditions of the place having air conditioning issues. We were sweating in that place. It isn't a safe place for elderly people with health issues. It's hot! So I signed him the heck out of there! And now we have to deal with avita not wanting to take him back because he was already transferred to this reject of a nursing home. So he's sitting in the hospital waiting room. This whole situation is dumb. Isn't his health what's important and not all these damn procedures and rules. I'm beyond annoyed with avita hospital and this nursing home. I'd give it zero stars if it was an option. The place is run down and dirty. Do not place your loved one in this facility if you care about them. And also my father's bed was damn near on the floor. He had to pee and he had no urinal so he had to pee in the trash can because no one was there to help him. Stupidest nursing home I've ever seen.
