East Park Memory Care Facility

Not enough staff , medicine not given out on any schedule. This place going down hill fast! 2 management changes in 7 mo.

My dad is a resident of East Park Memory Care Facility. So far I see the people are taking care of my dad. They are reasonably nice. I mean, as far as ambiance, it's certainly nice. They are a little bit older, but they keep them up pretty well. When I go visit there I'm usually sitting, either eating, or meeting with us. They have a social room, but I haven't seen them do any kind of activities, and my dad has Alzheimer's, so it's hard for him to do.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are always shortstaffed, and my aunt is not attended to as usual.

THIS FACILITY NEEDS SHUT DOWN!!! If your loved one needs care DO NOT SEND THEM HERE!!!! Unless you are comfortable with them pressing their nurse call button and having nobody come assist them for an hour or more. If they press their button after midnight nobody will come and assist them until the morning. The food is terrible, cold, and never what was ordered. If you ask them to warm up your cold food or bring you what you actually ordered you get treated badly. I understand staffing issues and I’ve worked in facilities bigger than this without an issue. On your first day they come speak to you about their awesome facility and later you find out it’s nothing but a pile of lies. The people running the facility as well as the staff do not care about you or your health needs. If you or your family member needs help with hygiene or daily activities they are very rough in the way help you and they are annoyed with you for needing assistance. If you or your family member is unable to get out of bed they do not help you reposition yourself to avoid bedsores. When it comes to your medication it doesn’t come on time and when you finally receive your medication they do not tell you what medications they are giving you. They threaten to discharge you if you do not make the level of progress they think you should be making regardless of your health. All the staff at this facility are only there to receive a paycheck. They do not have any empathy or compassion for anyone in their facility. All they care about is getting your insurance money. I cannot stress it enough if you love your family members or care about your own health concerns do not come here.

♥️Home♥️ It's not the first word most people may have come to mind when they think of places such as this. For us (my fiance and I), it's become far more than that. The amount humanity, compassion, kindness, and HOPE that each and every employee here has shown us has truly gone ABOVE AND BEYOND any sort of expectations that we ever could have imagined. From the directors, to the nursing staff....to the kitchen crew, activities, and maintenance department... (You all know who you are!). We will never be able to thank all of you enough. Without the overwhelming amount of support and humanity from everyone here at East Park Care Center, we truly don't know where we'd be today. If I could leave more than 5 STARS, I'd give them all ♥️ Come to East Park - it's not a facility...it's a COMMUNITY. As for us, we call it ♥️HOME ♥️
