There is a persistent unpleasant odor throughout the location, and I have observed what appears to be black mold on the air-conditioning units. From my experience, this issue has been present for approximately a year without being adequately addressed. I am also concerned about communication during medical emergencies. I have a family member at this facility, and unfortunately, I have serious concerns about the overall conditions and communication. There is a persistent unpleasant odor throughout the location, and I have observed what appears to be black mold on the air-conditioning units. From my experience, this issue has been present for approximately a year without being adequately addressed. I am also concerned about communication during medical emergencies. There have been instances where the resident’s designated power of attorney was not contacted promptly when a medical emergency occurred. These are serious concerns when it comes to the health, safety, and well-being of residents. I strongly encourage families to thoroughly research the facility, ask questions about maintenance and emergency communication procedures, and carefully consider all available options before choosing this location for a loved one.
From my experience with my nephews care there the facility doesn't pay attention to the residents care. My nephew almost lost his life because nobody paid attention and report the changes in his daily routine. He wound up with a staff infection that went to his heart lungs spine and some around his brain. Suffered a mild stroke from the infection and has a abcess in his neck. Still currently in ICU at OSU cardiologist center. They saved his life. But he still has a long road to recovery. They should have been more observant of his condition before it got that bad. I wouldn't recommend anyone…

From my experience with my nephews care there the facility doesn't pay attention to the residents care. Still currently in ICU at OSU cardiologist center. They saved his life. But he still has a long road to recovery. They should have been more observant of his condition before it got that bad. I wouldn't recommend anyone to place their loved there for lack of observations of his difference in normal behavior. I believe this tragic condition could have been prevented if they paid more attention to his change of behavior and reported it to the nurse promptly. It wasn't. I know people who work there and noticed a change in him. Something wasn't right with him for about 2 weeks before they sent him to the ER. By then the infection had tremendously spread throughout his body and almost killed him. Thank God for OSU for saving his life.
It was the worse smelling nursing home I’ve ever been in. As soon as u step into the building it hits u in the face. I had my brother there and wished I would have been able to take him elsewhere. He just didn’t have enough social security to go anywhere else.

My mother has been in Edgewood 2 and so far it has been a great experience! The staff have been amazing along with her therapy team! I had a small concern and I called Rachael the DON and she didn’t hesitate to solve it immediately! I would recommend Lucasville 2 for your loved one!
We’ve had a very positive experience with Edgewood Manor of Lucasville II. From the moment our loved one was admitted, the staff has gone out of their way to provide compassionate, attentive care. Everyone is kind, professional, and truly dedicated to the residents well being. I want to give special praise to the Social Service Director. Amber is exceptional at what she does. She's always available, incredibly knowledgeable, and a strong advocate for both residents and families. She’s kept us informed every step of the way and made a difficult transition so much easier. Her support and communication mean the world to us. We’re grateful to have found such a caring environment and team.
Great staff, family friendly atmosphere, everyone goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is well taken care of. Highly recommend!!!!

Caring and attentive staff with a great therapy department! Located in a nice country area. The activities department is amazing! The staff members truly care for their residents. Family atmosphere that is second to none.
