4.3 · 64 reviewsIf I coud give minus stars, I definitely would! Beware of being lied to and them stealing thousands of dollars! Signed to move my grandpa in, (paid deposit of $7300.00!!) 10th day to cancel was a Sunday so we called first thing Monday, but they still took most of the deposit. (Gave back a whopping $2800.00!.......woohoo) they lie and steal, but say that they are all about the elderly and care for them. Is this place really so insecure and greedy that they'll still $5k from a 97 year old? Atrocious!! Stay away!
I enjoy seeing PM but on Sunday afternoon there are no workers in view and no instructions to find one. I saw no staff the whole time. I had a question about leaving PM outside when I left but no way to ask so I made her come in. This was the same other weekends I visited. It is weird to have no assistance or supervision in sight. Twice I helped people sitting in the area in front of the desk- no emergency but no assistance for them.
If I could give it minus stars I would! I have not idea what is going on but there's is a major issue. The staff keep quitting left and right. Which at 1st I thought ok it's the people they hire....NO, it's ones that have been there for quite awhile that cant it anymore!!! When it's constant someone needs to address it immediately. The residences are paying an enormous amount a month for NOT proper CARE!! Move ON do NOT look at this place for any family member.

Things seem to be improving
We toured Elison Assisted Living & Memory Care of Marietta. It was very nice, and the staff was nice. I even tasted the food. My sister enjoyed her visit. I really can't say anything bad about them. The rooms were nice. The studio we looked at was smaller than the one that she has at the other facility. We liked the layout at the other facility better. When she gets out of bed, she has to walk, not very long, not very far, like ten steps, but at the other facility where she is, she gets out of bed and walks three steps, and that's where the bathroom is. She has some issues with incontinence, so time is of the essence. The financial staff was very accommodating, so everything was very good.
Staff truly care about the residents at Elison of Marietta. The room sizes are sufficient for residents needs. I would recommend this facility to others looking for care for a loved one.
The facility is nice but showing it's age. If you tour the facility and decide you want your love one to stay there ask to see the room that your family member will be staying in not just the model room they show everyone. I believe they only have 1 RN on shift and the rest are aids. I do not like the way they store everyone's medication and think I might be easily mixed up. All in all it's a lot better than most in the area. Visit often if at all possible.
