Place had rat droppings used cigs and tabacco in the cabinets and storage areas. Kitchen was disgusting cooks were not wearing hairnets. Staff was clueless. Residents were not properly cared for they were left alone by themselves for long periods of time.
My disabled veteran brother stayed here. He lost probably 30 pounds on account of they give a meal consisting of a slice of bread, one slice of cheese and an apple juice. He was transferred to a VA facility and Garden Court "can't find" his personal property consisting of an xbox, games, and a thousand dollar iphone. I have been trying to call all morning and the phone rings once then goes dead. I will be contacting the ombudsman's office about and pressing charges if applicable. Also, the air conditioning was out for months last summer and was never fixed, temps in my brothers room at 85…

I would give negative stars if able. Today i have called 13 times since 10:57 am and they will not answer the phone. Once they picked up and then immediately hung up.

Only one complaint but it is a major one the response time from hitting your light to actually getting help is between one to three hours it has gotten so much worse I lay here for hours the call lights don't work and even if they know you need care they ignore you
Management team is newer and making incredible progress. Nice people willing to do what is needed. Loving and attentive.
Please don’t send your loved once to this facility. I sent my mother her for a respite stay with hospice care and I regret it. They had the wrong contact information, they were suppose to be contacting me and instead they contacted my sick sister, they left her without her pain medication for the entire weekend, they lost her cell phone and no one has gotten back to me about the location of it and I can see that it’s still in the facility on the find my phone app. The communication amongst staff was nonexistent. The administration had terrible customer service skills, it was the worst experience for my mother and I.
If you have family please don’t send here if you’re thinking about this place. They don’t open doors for people that’s trying to see their love ones. They will starve the residence don’t clean them like they suppose to. When my mother went to visit a resident they had her bottom showing to where anybody can see it also had dirty sheets on her ridiculous… so if you have family here please send them somewhere else this place needs to be shut down.
