I had a wonderful experience with my time while being in there The social worker lady was very hard working and helpful and just wonderful person The therapy was great in there also I recommend this facility
my aunt was in a rehabilitating status recently and spent time here. The nurses and staff are very friendly and very driven. Management was helpful and helped clarify insight toward her and our questions. Thanks Greenbriar for a communicative and effective stay
From the bottom of my heart I wish to say how grateful I am to the people of greenbrier. Coming here was such a great relief. It's as if I was under water before and didn't even know it. Living here has been like reaching the top and taking a huge breath of fresh air. The people here go out of their way to help you with whatever they can. The main thing is that you can tell how much they care because you can feel it.
I was a resident here for 15 months. There are some good people who really try to assist residents. However, the worst department in the building is Social Service followed by the kitchen where the food is always cold. I was privileged to be cared for by three outstanding nurses: Terri, Mariah, and JoJo. During my tenure, I had three Executive
I stayed at Greenbrier for six weeks after having a long stay between ICU, an LTAC and acute rehab where I not only get extremely weak but also developed a stage 4 pressure wound on by buttocks. When I got to Greenbrier I could barely move in the bed let alone stand and walk. During my time there, the therapy team Barb VanMael, and especially Sharon from OT and Allison from PT got me back on my feet and walking. The wound team and nurses helped the wound heal enough that I was able to go home. I couldn’t be more thankful for the care and treatment I received at Greenbrier. They helped me get strong enough to go home. I would recommend Greenbrier for therapy and wound care time and time again! Definitely a 10/10!
I been at Greenbrier since August 16, 2025 I will start with the Good: 1. The physical therapy and occupational therapy team was top notch…….. that’s all I have for good. Bad : The food was horrible. I would not feed it to my worst enemy or a farm animal. 2. The housekeeping is not good. The facility it dirty and run down. Do not go by the pictures on the website. 3. The Stna care more about their cell phones than they do the patients. Take hours to answer your call or get you anything you need. You have Nurses who won't help the aides when they need assistance or answer call lights they sit on there phone. Male aides don't know how to properly clean a female private area. There's no communication with Staff. I don't recommend this facility to no one
This was a horrible experience for my very ill father. Not only unprofessional, management and nurses were completely dishonest. I called 911 myself knowing my dad was in a terrible decline. Once he got to southwest hospital the nurse at SW assessed my father and quickly confirmed a list of health issues. C diff, UTI, severe fever from these infections. Dangerously low hemoglobin..4 open sores on his rear end when that very day, hours earlier the nurse manager told me directly in person that they were ALL HEALED AND CLOSED!!!!!! It bring me to tears this day. Trust your instincts. Be your loved ones advocate.
This last stay was my Mom's 4th stay at Greenbrier. Up until this stay it was a very nice place with a real good Physical Therapy Department. Was was brought in after a Hospital stay 3 weeks ago. I just cant believe how bad it got in 2 years. I am so disappointed in the filth and lack of care she received. They are so short staffed that every time we hit the nurse button, it took them about 20 mins to come in. Most the time they only came in to give her medicine and then you never seen them again. It took us a week and a half of hounding to get the nurse to go down the basement to get my Mom a compression sock because her foot was so swollen she could not even walk. My family and I continuously had to keep going to find someone and when you did it was "I dont know I am new. I only recognized 2 people from 2 years ago. So to break it down quick for you. I see no improvement in her health in 3 weeks, Therapy did not make much difference this time, the nurses are horrible and just don't care, the food is disgusting, the place is dirty and full of patients that walk around all day hounding you for cigarettes. My mother will never stay there again. Also, I wanted to get her out Friday and was told " Oh no she cant go till Monday, and it will cost you an extra 217.00 a day because she is past the 21 days that Medicare covers". I could not believe it. Greenbrier really dropped the ball, I cant believe how bad it got. I feel bad for those who live there. Please if your loved one needs to go to a rehabilitation center PLEASE DONT TAKE THEM TO GREENBRIER. Do your research please before putting someone you love in any of these places.
