I have been in nursing homes before. Here they check on me several times a day They serve delicious meals in time I would recommend coming here if you need extra care Wonderful staff I can't say enough good things
My brother was in the memory care unit for a few weeks. The staff was very nice and I felt that my brother was well cared for.

Named best of Athens Nursing Home? When you nominate yourself and you are the only nursing home nominated, of course you win. How much did you pay to nominate yourself? I did my clinicals at Hickory, years ago. Vowed I would never step foot in that facility ever again. The smell of urine hit you in the face like a brick wall. I have serious doubts that they are the best facility in Athens county. I would not give any stars but Google won't let you leave the review unless you give a star.
Worst place you could ever put your family member in and I do not say that lightly - upper management and director of nursing is rude and place is very understaffed which is very unsafe, facility is dirty feces and urine all over rooms cluttered and unsafe. The food looks like prison food. The nurses and nurse aids were great but there was not enough to take care of my family member. This place needs to be shut down. It is truly appalling. I took my loved one out immediately as soon as they told me what was going on at this place. Do not ever take anyone here. All the positive reviews are from staff members do not let them fool you take your family to a better place
My son who is 32 went here to recover from open heart surgery. I definitely shose the right place. Everyone was wonderful to him and to me! It's hard with Covid but I could speak to my son everyday or see him o Zoom! as phone use as well as
Hickory Creek provides excellent care in a comfortable environment. The personal care, nursing care, and activities are wonderful.
