4.4 · 11 reviewsAwesome facility with helpful staff and friendly residents. The residents and staff welcomed my brother in with open arms. They have a lot of activities to keep the residents actively engaged and creates a super social atmosphere.
They are very helpful and pleasant. I believe the apartments and amenities are perfect for seniors. They do have options. We chose this community over others because of The price, size and availability.
The facility itself is well-maintained. I have some concern over the fact that there is only one elevator for the entire building. Should there be a problem with one and there has been those on the upper floors are essentially trapped if they cannot go up and downstairs. I realize this is a rental situation rather than a purchase however, the appliances provided are the absolute cheapest that are available and I believe for the prices that are charged they could be a better quality. There are a lot of wonderful things about Homestead Village Miamisburg - all expenses included including tv & wifi, pets allowed, amenities of free fancy coffee machine & pet washing station & dog park & craft room & pool & dart room in the bar & workout room, inexpensive laundry machines, secure package room, etc. Your neighbors really do become friends & we look out for each other. There are some people here who should be in assisted living or memory units & staff do not do much about them. You are given the impression that the activities are put on by the staff but that is not true. Residents have to decide, organize & work all the activities. We have euchre groups, mahjong, rummikub, left/right/center, beach all volleyball, bingo, poetry club, pool, movie nights in the living room, religious groups, potlucks, holiday parties, thirsty Thursdays and informational presentations and more. I have lived here for a little over a year (with an 18 month lease) and will renew.
The cost is reasonable, and we don't have a dining room, instead we have our own kitchens in each unit therefore one is reasonable for their own meals. I would give families a heads up to make them aware of the dogs and cats here in case they have allergies. They are letting in big dogs for emotional support animals which is how they are getting around the size and breeds.
It has been a great experience living here at Homestead Village Of Miamisburg. I highly recommend for retirement living.
Lots of drama between residents, services promised were not offered, residents ran the activities so cliques were formed.
I am currently a resident at Homestead Village of Miamisburg and moving to this facility has been the best move for me. The staff is great! The other families are friendly. The village motto is "Where Neighbors become friends." I am loving it here, I'm not lonely anymore. I would recommend Homestead Village of Miamisburg to others.
