Independence Place II

Since January either one or both of the elevators have been down. People are getting stuck in them and when they ARE down we have to call the fire department to get people between 1 to 10 floors up the stairs. They look like they're getting really pissed having to come here all the time. Then another issue is that we never know if we'll have hot water or not. January started a 20% increase in rents and things are falling apart right and left. There's absolutely no excuse for their blatant disregard for the tenants and not spending some of that $[removed] or more increase to get basic needs taken care of in this SENIOR building. Be aware (beware) of what you'll be getting into if you're thinking about renting here. Unbelievable. We have no hot water AGAIN tonight. We called the 24 hr. maint. line and he said he's not going to bother tonight and he'll look at it in the morning. So in the meantime, all the 200 units will go without hot water in the morning.
