4.7 · 400 reviewsWe visited as a potential residence for my parents. Beautiful facility, friendly staff, location convenient to resources for the independent seniors, and fun outings. They are able to provide a la carte care services before full assisted living is needed, or for one parent while my other parent is out. I believe they will be able to relieve some of the primary caregiver strain my mom has been feeling, and let her relax when she needs to be away for a time. I definitely recommend checking out Independence Village for your loved one.
My tour of the building was excellent. Saw 3 different types of rooms so I could see the options. Morgan was very patient and listened to everything I had to say. I met several other employees while there and all were very outgoing. Loved that some have been there 10-20 years
I visited this location today and the front desk lady was so focused on her gossiping conversation with the housekeeper she watched me stand in front of the desk for over 10 minutes never asked if i needed assistance or anything. I eventually walked away and found the residents room that i was looking for. I know people like to gossip but to ignore guest and gossip about your job with a housekeeper who is also on the clock supposed to be working is completely disrespectful behavior. She also eyed me down multiple times letting me know she knew i was waiting but refused to greet me or ask did…

I eventually walked away and found the residents room that i was looking for. My 93 year old dad moved in a month ago. It was too dangerous for him to live at home (memory issues). The move happened quickly, out of necessity. The Wellness Center did an assessment and he was still eligible for assisted living. Everyone has been so welcoming. They have residents that have shown him the ropes. The nursing staff (24/7) and caregivers (24/7) have been very kind, thorough and responsive. He actually wears a safety button (not for me). He pushes it when he needs anything. He gets three excellent meals a day. laundry done, assistance with showering and medicine. He just started physical and occupation therapy. It's such a lovely apartment and environment. There are so many daily activities, even off of the grounds. Dad's adjustment has gone much better than I thought. I knows he's in excellent hands and I don't have to WORRY.

IV Aurora has some of kindest people living and working here. They really welcome someone new and "show them the ropes." The choices of how to spend their time are remarkable--painting, bell choir, even virtual college classes! The food smells, looks and tastes amazing. Employees go above and beyond every day you can tell that their hearts are 100% into what they do.
