Maumee Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care

Beautiful building but do not recommend this facility for a loved one. The manager is always unavailable or off site, there is no receptionist/security at the entrance, nursing aides are often seen sitting around on their phones, memory care residents are placed in front of the tv for most of the day. The level of attention, safety, and engagement that was promised is not delivered.

My parents moved into their assisted living apartment in 2022. My father was dead set against moving into an assisted living. His health was failing and my mom started wandering out of the house so it was a move that had to happen. Within 6 months of moving in he became a huge fan of the place! The memory care was absolutely horrible for my mom. Most of the staff was lazy, not educated on dementia, didn't care about anyone but did care about getting their lunch order to Sheetz. The nurses didn't work well with Careline Hospice (horrible too). My dad is in Assisted living, no house doctor for entire building just nurse practioner. He gets evening meds at 9:00pm most nights, most people are sleeping at that hour. Staff isn't consistent, actually short staffed. Some weekends hardly anyone. On tour they make you think it's like a 5 star resort but in reality it's not.
