During the eight months my mother lived there, it consistently felt like home. The staff treated her—and our entire family—with warmth, respect, and genuine care. It never felt like just a facility; it felt like a community where everyone looked out for one another. To anyone considering McMullen Assisted Care for themselves or a loved one, I wholeheartedly and confidently recommend it. The peace of mind their team provides is invaluable.
At Loudonville's MAC all of the needs of my mother, and all of the other loved ones at the time, were met. During those years mom was safe, comfortable, well fed, entertained, medically monitored, and surrounded by loving people -- owners staff, and residents.
Our experience with McMullen Assisted Care in Loudonville Ohio was the greatest we could ask for. Kay was with them 12 months and there was never a problem with the staff or the owners. They were the best of the best. Always open minded to any suggestions. They treated everyone as family. The facility was always clean and welcoming. Our experience with McMullen Assisted Care in Loudonville Ohio was the greatest we could ask for. Kay was with them 12 months and there was never a problem with the staff or the owners. They were the best of the best. Always open minded to any suggestions. They treated everyone as family. The facility was always clean and welcoming. The even let us put in a small flower garden outside her window, complete with bird feeders and bird baths. Kay loved watching the birds and squirrels and an occasional deer come up to her window. If you are looking for assisted care for your loved ones, you cannot find a better place than McMullen. I hope they will still be taking care of people in 20 years when it is our turn to be cared for.

If I could I would really give "The Mac" 10 stars. What a wonderful place for folks who need some assistance in everyday living! My mother came to the Mac from Houston, Texas where she had lived most of her life. We always joked that she came "kicking and screaming." However, within a few months she told me she was so glad that she had come to live in Ohio and especially glad to live at the Mac. It is the most wonderful, family oriented facility you could ever find for your loved one. The staff were so patient and kind to my mother and to me. Mother was able to make some new friends and even get her hair done right there in the facility. We always joked that they could put a bunk bed in my mothers room for me to move in with her. Sadly, my yellow rose passed away several years ago. However, I still stop by on occasion and count myself fortunate to still call many of the staff my friends. I have attached a photo of my mother with her bestie Brittany McMullen.
My father moved into McMullen Assisted Care two years ago. The staff was welcoming and immediately made it feel like home. I could not have asked for better care for my father, and his medical needs were many. He took advantage of the activities offered and thrived in McMullen’s caring atmosphere. Any needs or requests were quickly responded to. Communication between the facility and family was excellent. When my father’s time on earth came to an end this summer, the entire staff rallied around him and my family. I am eternally grateful for the love and compassion that was shown during one of life’s most difficult times. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful facility and caring staff in our community.
I am a pastor in Loudonville Area and I am in and out of Mcmullen for various reasons. The staff are friendly, helpful, caring, and attentive. The staff care for the residents in the same manner they would want their own loved one to be cared for. Highly recommend this facility if your loved one is looking for an assisted living facility.
McMullen Assisted Care is a wonderful facility. They have a wonderful staff that care for the residents as though they were their own family. They provide a variety of activities including crafting, musical entertainment by local artists and drives through the countryside. It was such a comfort knowing mom was getting such personal care.
The best place to call home when home needs to have a health support system. 💕
