You have staff who sit around watching t.v or on their phones and even playing computer games on company ..computers. the worse happens after 5 p.m when administrator and staff leave this leaves nurses in charge but they fail to lead by example as they're doing same as rest of staff. I've witnessed call lights go unanswered for over an hour and residents sitting in soiled clothing and staff laughing about it. The food is notorious I mean institutional food but diets incorrectly followed ,food cold and ect.. worse was…

I could go on but will just advise strongly against going here or putting family members in here.
They have rats and bugs. I saw a rat in my room and a bug crawl under my bed. The foods awful. They have no linen you have to wash up with paper towels. They don't clean your room or change your sheets . Medication not given till late. I've never seen a rehabilitation center like this.
My mother has been there on 3 separate occasions and her care has been excellent. The staff is very attentive to her needs and wound care. They have always made my family and myself feel welcome.

First off, I want to say the pt and ot staff are great. Nina, my husbands nurse is the greatest. That being said I hope the rest of Unit C staff never end up in a place like this. It seems the more you complain the worse it gets. For example, I brought my husband some lunch, a corned beef sandwich and some potato salad. We rang the for the nurse at 11:20 to get a soda, 8 minutes later she showed up, said all they had was ginger ale we said ok. It is now 12:15 and still waiting for our drinks. She saw him eating. I'm sorry I ever agreed to bring him here. I gave the one star for Nina and his therapists. I am not rating the care he has been receiving. He has since been released to come home. This place sucks!
My granddad stayed here for nearly 2 years and was well taken care of. Overall, the staff is friendly and understanding, even though he did not speak English. They would welcome my sister and I with open arms and strive to communicate with any issues that came up. Whenever my granddad got sick, the first thing they did was notify me and send him to the ER if something severe happened. Only reason why I gave the Prentiss Center four stars is because they were really strict about letting my granddad come home and visit. He was in good condition to come home, but there was way too much paperwork, and the head nurse and social worker were rarely there to sign papers.
I have been in multiple nursing homes and worked in a nursing home for 7 years and this is one of the worst ones in Cleveland only rating below greenbrier but bot by much. The care is inadequate the food half the time is sub par. I strongly reccomend finding another place for yourselves or your loved ones. I am admitted here now and more and more every passing day see worse care.
I would like to Thank the Elisabeth Severance Prentiss Center for the excellent care they gave to my mother.She went there when she broke her hip ,she had dementia. She was taken very good care of.She passed away a couple of weeks ago.I would recommend it to everyone.
