I will start by saying there are some aids we adore and treat my aunt with Down syndrome really well- like a human. Most of the Agency staffing is an issue, they are rude, uncaring, lazy, unprofessional and lack in caring about dignity for the residents. A lot of what we’ve noticed is on camera and they know they are on camera. The DON is never apologetic, doesn’t acknowledge wrong doings, brushes off the family and comes across as rude and lacking in compassion. While we may bring up issues, we will also be the first to praise simple acts of human-like kindness and care. The facility is nice…

The facility is nice and updated, but people need training on compassion, especially for those unable to express themselves or even care for themselves. Ask yourselves, if this were me or my beloved family member how would I expect the care to be. Our advice is for every family to have a camera in your loved ones room, you have the right to do that.

When my daughter Vera was the victim of a tragic hit-and-run accident that caused a traumatic brain injury with long-term complications, our family was faced with the overwhelming challenge of finding the right place for her rehabilitation. From the very first conversation with Stephanie Cotrell, I felt a sense of reassurance and hope. She was compassionate, knowledgeable, and patient in guiding us through every step as we worked to bring Vera closer to home here in Waynesville. Since Vera’s admission several months ago, we have experienced nothing but exceptional care from the entire staff and rehabilitation team at Ohio Living Quaker Heights. Vera’s case is unique and complex and different than what is typically seen, yet the staff immediately stepped in with dedication and creativity to help us navigate what would be best for her. From the office staff to the nurses and aides, the ongoing support has far exceeded our expectations, especially as this has all been a new experience for our family. We have also been deeply impressed with the thoughtful activities and programs offered to residents. The attention given to ensuring not just medical care, but also a meaningful quality of life, reflects the heart of this community and brings comfort to our family. We still have a long journey ahead, but we celebrate every bit of progress Vera has made, and a big thanks goes to the tireless work and care she receives here. Words cannot express our gratitude for the way this facility has cared not only for Vera, but for our entire family through such a difficult season. We truly believe God answered our prayers by opening the doors for Vera to come to Ohio Living Quaker Heights, and we are deeply thankful. — A grateful Waynesville family

They need work on personal care. No Hospitality lack urgency. I never have a full staff. They call out agencies to fill in for staffing.need more urgent when it comes to medical services and medication. food is on average between a 2 and 3. Small portions. The food is always dry and chewy they forget your drink. One of the aides named Stacy is very great she works very hard.

Absolute amazing staff everybody loved and took care of my mom and dad like they were their own. Great communication and love throughout the process.

This place is perfect for the mother-in-law you don’t like.

My mom is in the Memory Care unit and all the rooms have been beautifully remodeled. Everyone is so kind and helpful! Would highly recommend this facility!

We moved my Mom from Memory Care today to a new facility she has been in Quaker Heights about 3 weeks transferred over from their rehab after a fee days. Location and a few factors played in our decision. However, I must acknowledge that for the 1st time is over 2 years my Mom was sad to leave which she has been in fight or flight for a long time. She showed gratitude and felt that she received good care, most importantly she allowed them to care for her which is no easy feat. I felt that she received good care, she was clean, fed,her call light was answered and interacting more than she has in a long time. A special shout out to the special caregivers that I encountered. Robert and Billy as well as other staff are fabulous they get 5 stars. Thank you for caring for people as they are and allowing them to keep their dignity in tact.

The facility in itself is really nice, not out dated like most nursing facilities. But I will say as an agency nurse who travels around to different nursing facilities to work, working there was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Staff is very short and snobby with the residents and agency staff members. The vibe is very off setting, and I was very unpleased with how empathetic they were to residents and the way they were treated. Almost everybody had bed sores, which shows that they aren’t changed and treated properly. I will just say from my experience traveling around I’ve been to many places and I rather work/send my family member to somewhere that may be more out date than to a place that does not care.
