Lisa E. loves having fun therapy groups for the patients. Just one of many things that sets the patient experience apart from others in the area!

Idk but I’m putting my mom in the nursing home if you don’t give me an Easter basket this year!!!🥰🥹✌️

They don’t care for their patients nor their loved ones trying to reach them. Called multiple times and was on hold for a while and my loved one wasn’t given proper care when we visited she was saying she was thirsty but where are the nurses then?? I’m debating moving my loved one this is ridiculous

Horrible experience patient was there for physical therapy left in bed in gown for days with no therapy not dressed you try to call 3rd floor nursing station and all they do is hang up on you. They also " lost" his Ozempic, was told a nurse was coming out to talk to us about it, never happened. Administration..you have my name and number on the message I left you days before discharge.

Went to visit a loved one at this facility, and was greeted by an exceptional nurse by the name of Stephanie Bryant. Her professionalism was awesome. It gives me peace knowing that a nurse like her is in charge of care for my Aunt. I Would recommend this facility family and friends. Thanks for all that you do and keep up the good work

Please if you love your family do not bring them here. Me and my wife have been trying to get ahold of anyone in regards of her mother. She has been trying to call them sense 2pm it's not 7 and she's been on hold for almost an hour now. We were called by her cancer clinic and told she missed a appointment Thursday so they rescheduled it for Monday, apparently they also didn't take her to her Monday appointment which we found out today from the cancer clinic not the rehab. We have been trying to talk to anyone about her mother for almost two weeks (to give us an update on her health which they told us they would do in a few days sense we last spoke) so now at this point it's been a week and a half with them giving us no contact other than being placed on hold. Tomorrow either me or my wife will be up there to speak to someone personally about getting this matter reported to the insurance and her transfered. This has not been a problem more recently they have been a struggle to deal with for the last 2 months.

Today I got myself out of this place because of several things. I rang the buzzer for an Aide. The Aide came in and asked what do I need? I said my urinal emptied. Then the Aide said to me HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT DRINKING IT. IT HAS A LOT OF PROTEIN. Would you or would you want a LOVED ONE to be talked to that way?? I was on a WOUND VAC there that needed changed 3 times per week. After A NURSE changed it I told her I didn't think it was working correctly. She wouldn't listen to me. Come to find out the next day the WOUND VAC WASN'T WORKING PROPERLY and the facility HAD TO GET ANOTHER WOUND VAC for me to use. In my OPINION this place is understaffed because for the TCU DEPARTMENT a lot of nights they only have ONE AIDE & ONE NURSE. One night in that department before I rang my buzzer for assistance I could hear from my room NO OTHER BUZZER was going off. So I rang my buzzer for assistance. It took 35 minutes for anyone to come to my room. When the Aide got to my room I asked if she was busy with another patient. The AIDE SAID NO I WAS DOING MY PAPERWORK. I said to her that in those 35 minutes I could have been or another Patient could have been bleeding to death, having a heart attack or some other medical emergency. I in good faith can NOT recommend anyone to this facility.

Let me justify the 5 star rating. The day I went to Portsmouth Rehab it happened all in one day. I left my house that morning and went to the hospital and went to Portsmouth Rehab that evening. I was a little scared and a little nervous. I had thoughts in my mind how it might be. I have no idea where those thoughts came from but was totally wrong. The staff greeted me like we had know each other a long time. The building had great lighting which allowed me by to see how clean the place was. I took part in the physical therapy that helped me tremendously after my stroke. The staff was always so helpful when I was trying to figure things out. They would gladly take me outside on beautiful days. They would ask me about my family once they met them. I went there as a bitter person because of my health and not being able to stay at my house. I left there healthier and happier. I would never hesitate to put a family member there knowing the place as I do. I would once again like to say thank you to all the staff.
