My husband, who is eighty years old was discharged from the hospital to this facility last night and the hospital arranged transportation. When we got here, no one knew who he was or that he was even coming. They wanted to weigh him when he got here. Why that was top priority, I don’t know but my husband cannot walk on stand without assistance and the “tech” I assume because she never told us who she was and wouldn’t answer any of our questions. She refused to assist him with standing on the scale from the wheelchair. My husband wasn’t treated with any dignity or respect. The administrator…

She refused to assist him with standing on the scale from the wheelchair. My husband wasn’t treated with any dignity or respect. The administrator told us that the “took care” of the person from last night but I don’t feel good having him in here. It takes them up to 30 minutes to answer a call light. I had to help him use the bathroom this morning. I’ve been here for nearly two hours now and no one from physical therapy ( the whole reason why he’s here) has come in yet. And the flipping TV only has streaming services on it, no live TV. He’s eighty, and blind, how is he supposed to navigate that? This place is a hole but my husband only has Medicare and this place was the only choice. They brought him dinner last night and left the dirty tray in his room all night. Don’t send your loved one here, please heed my warning. This place and the people here are subpar.
I toured the facility to compare. Oh my gosh, I would send my loved one anywhere but here. Residents live in filth, barely any staff, residents rooms are so dirty and the facilities look like everything is breaking. Their parking lot was filthy and I stayed around to listen to conversations and heard staff saying that they were all quitting again. Stay away from here.
My sister was recently transferred to Sapphire. Marcia was very sweet. She helped us to locate my sister as she was not in her room when we arrived. She was in physical therapy. Also Sydney the physical therapist was very sweet too. We are having issues getting my sister's electric wheelchair from the other assisted living facility and she offered to inquire and help facilitate the transport is possible. For the first time in 2 years my sister's hair was brushed and she appeared to be clean and in clean clothes. I was impressed that they care about the hygiene of my sister. The room and…

For the first time in 2 years my sister's hair was brushed and she appeared to be clean and in clean clothes. I was impressed that they care about the hygiene of my sister. The room and bathroom were clean. The only bad thing is the TV did not work and some of the common floors were dirty and sticky. Also her roommate was nasty wasty.
They give care that is borderline malpractice.Maybe even malpractice we will see.
I WOULD NOT LET MY DOG STAY HERE. DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!!! I CHECKED IN ON MY MOTHER AND HAD TO GET HER TO AN EMERGENCY ROOM BECAUSE SHE WAS BARELY RESPONSIVE AND NO ONE CONTACTED ME ABOUT HER CONDITION.
Sapphire Rehabilitation has been wonderful for my father's recovery! The nursing staff is attentive and caring, the therapists are excellent, and the facility is clean and welcoming. Dad has made great progress with his physical therapy. We're so grateful for the compassionate care he's receiving here!
It is after 1 am and I have a roommate. I requested her to turn her TV off ae I can't sleep. The supervisor said that I must compromise. I am 70 and exhausted. This has gone on for days. Further, they open mail and steal the contents. When I was in the hospital, they stole clothes, books, CDs,personal cars items and many other things. They will not resolve my issues.
After visiting multiple facilities, we chose Sapphire Rehabilitation and Care Center for Mom's long-term care and it was the best decision. The environment is warm and welcoming, staff turnover seems low (we see the same caring faces), and they communicate proactively about any changes in her condition. Mom participates in music therapy and art classes, which has improved her mood tremendously. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. Most importantly, Mom seems happy and comfortable, which is all we could ask for. Thank you, Sapphire team!
