My mother-in-law and father-in-law stayed at Shawnee Springs. The staff was friendly and took good care of both of them. The rooms were very clean.
If I could give this place negative stars I would. My mother in law was here, 11 years ago. She came in after having a hip replacement. I’m so sad we didn’t get nursing care at home instead. Her back was broken here due to a compression break, she was according to the hip surgeon probably dropped on to the toilet or chair, bed, or quite possibly the floor. She died from her shattered back break. These managers should be in jail. I could go on with my mother in law told me but it doesn’t matter. If you love your love one don’t go here.

I have had a wonderful experience with this senior living facility. The staff is caring, compassionate, and truly goes above and beyond to make residents feel comfortable, respected, and valued. The environment is welcoming, clean, and feels like a place where residents can feel at home. The team does a great job communicating with families, providing support, and creating meaningful activities and experiences for the residents. It is clear that the staff genuinely cares about the people they serve. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and supportive place for their loved one.
Therapy is fantastic. I love everyone of them down there. They have helped me to learn to walk again. When I got here I couldn't move any of my body and now I'm walking down the hallway to the elevator and back. Liz, one of my aides, is my favorite. I love her. There are a lot of wonderful people here. The nurses have all my very great to me.
I cannot say enough good things about this retirement and rehabilitation center. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated residents and families with kindness, respect, and genuine compassion. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and provides a welcoming environment that feels comfortable and safe.
I received skilled nursing therapy after a broken back, and my care was very helpful during recovery. The staff was patient, professional, and attentive to my needs as an elderly patient. The therapy team worked with me on mobility, strength, balance, and safe transfers, which helped me regain confidence and function. Nursing staff also provided close monitoring, medication support, and help with daily needs while I healed. I appreciated that the care plan was individualized and focused on helping me become as independent as possible before returning home. Overall, I would recommend Shawnee skilled nursing rehabilitation for older adults recovering from a serious back injury.
How is it I call one day and you tell me if somebody is still there and call next and you won’t tell me. I was bringing her elderly friend to come see her that’s on oxygen. You all never had a problem telling us. Whoever was answering phones 6/6 aprox 3:10 pm was just being petty. I didn’t ask about her condition I have the passcode to go in so what does it matter? It’s a 30 min drive how terrible.
