If you are exploring Residential Care Homes look no further. The Cottage is warm and relaxing. This place feels like home to me. The Cottage has 12 private rooms providing the advantage of personalized care and special attention to individual residents. The nurses are compassionate and professional. Caring for individuals is their priority. This place exceeds the expectations of your typical Residential Care Home.
Smaller place where personalized care is exceptional. Owners and staff are above the ordinary in providing care and compassion and comfort to all in their care and their families. For the best in care for your loved ones choose Starkey Place.

The family and team at Starkey Place are wonderful. They cared for my Mom with dignity, compassion and kindness while she was there for the past few months during her last days. It is cheery and more like a home than a facility. Jody and Tom Starkey are hands on and they and their staff treated us like they had known us for years. I would highly recommend trusting your loved one with them.
Extremely unprofessional. Poor business practices (why are they still in business?). Unsanitary conditions. This is an assisted living facilities for senior citizens! Steer clear from sending family members here, as their practices paint the color of shade, and the cleanliness is yet to be desired. If anyone from the state of Ohio is reading this, please audit this place!

A nice home-like community with approximately 12 residents. The facility is set up in a remodeled home. There is a step down from the living room/entry into the main room and kitchen. This would not work for our loved one. The staffing ratio is acceptable for residents who do not need a great deal of care. It had a warm feel and that residents were welcoming. It just did not fit our needs.
