I had to stay there for about 5 weeks. Most of the people were very nice. Some of the food was good, some was not. I loved Nurse Kathy and Nurse Jacob. They were so good to me. And the people in physical therapy are awesome. They help make you feel at ease and like you can succeed at what you are doing. They also make you laugh and you need that when you are trying to heal. The only downside is that they are short staffed and there were times I had to call the main desk with my cell phone to get help. I pushed the call button 1 day and almost 2 hours later, no one had come and I was not able…

Mackenzie is a wonderful admissions coordinator. From the very beginning, she was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable, making what can be a stressful process for many much easier and more manageable. She took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and made sure I fully understood each step along the way. She has taught me so much and really took me under her wing. What stood out most was her compassion and genuine care—not just for the residents, but for their families as well. She truly knows each resident and their family, and it shows in the way she supports and advocates for them. Mackenzie consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everything is handled smoothly. I truly appreciate her professionalism and dedication. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a supportive and caring environment.

Mckenzie and Lester in the admissions office are very nice and welcoming.

Food and therapy were excellent. Ray runs a great kitchen. I never had a meal that wasn't good. Different from when in hospital

Awesome place staff is wonderful

The staff was outstanding. Every person was kind and willing to serve me. The cleaning staff and nurse assistant worked together yo achieve one goal, to serve you. The nursing staff was phenomenal. The physical therapy staff is outstanding. Always willing to work with you to get you strength stronger. I would say the food was not good.

Three employees really stand out as far as care is concerned. Jeanetta, Wendy and Hanna were great to work with. If I needed help with something they were right there. I didn’t like the food at all so I had my wife bring me what I liked. The room was great too. And I made friends there

How many words would I choose to describe The Laurels of Athens? Comforting, friendly and clean. Knowledgeable. The nurses and aides make every effort to make sure your needs are met and always with a smile. Shower? No problem. PB &J snack? No problem. Extra pillows? No problem.. Your own bathroom just steps from your bed. Or need the bed pan at 2 AM. OK! The Laurels of Athens is a wise choice. Physical Traning on site (hint- the "mean PT" is actually a pussy cat).I am happy to go home but I will miss The Laurels. They get an A+ in my book
