The nursing director doesnt care and the administrator is never around and doesnt want to be bothered saw him twice and he refused to speak to me both occasions he rather give go up to the woman who finished up an interview and tell her that she should hire the girl she just interviewed because she was very attractive you could tell the employee was very uncomfortable and it was being said in front of family and patients! on the other occasion i was…

Do not take you loved ones here. Some of the staff are great, karmen is wonderful. No staff on weekends to care for people. Management is awful. The nursing director doesnt care and the administrator is never around and doesnt want to be bothered saw him twice and he refused to speak to me both occasions he rather give go up to the woman who finished up an interview and tell her that she should hire the girl she just interviewed because she was very attractive you could tell the employee was very uncomfortable and it was being said in front of family and patients! on the other occasion i was waiting in sitting area for 25 minutes for him to return from bathroom and when he did the woman who works the door told him I was waiting and he yelled at her in front of residents and told her he didnt have time for this Stuff but he didnt use the word stuff and stormed away this was also in front of patients. The care is not consistent. I was noticing some decline and my concerns just got down played by nursing director she was very distracted during the conversation and felt like what was being said was staged and said to everybody. The atmosphere is so tense as soon as you walk in. I ended up just taking my person home and then to another nursing home after I left and did research on other places. I wouldnt recommend this one as they fooled me to think it was truly the best and from the outside it looks like it would be but it is not at all. Don't get fooled like we did!

Who authorized these behaviors? DON, Medical Director, and Erie County Attorney. HCPOA, me, legal standing documents excluded from admission to a locked down dementia unit. My mom put on locked down dementia unit without dementia. Emergency guardianship obtained and extended all in 1 day. All secretive. Still going strong. Found out 6 months later. Mom’s going downhill fast. The worst thing you can do to an elderly person. Isolate them. Immune system destruction. Horrific. Mom being held because Admin Mari and son and youngest daughter says so. Mari says her doctor wanted her here. On video. Ohio law says admin is supposed to not choose sides. Mom didn’t know she’d be here the rest of her life. Per her. Shame on all of you. Bullies. Discharge request was faxed to Dr. Vaschek’s office. 1/13/23. Mom walks into The Meadows and obtained so many diagnosis. Didn’t have day before. She hadn’t been to docs office for years. No ear wax removal visits. Per mom. She never brushes her teeth. Sleeps in her clothes. In a chair. Didn’t have a toothbrush even. She gave me life. I want to care for her. That is the right thing to do. Her stomach growls loudly. Shared bathrooms and shared tiny dark rooms. Forced diapers. Large rash on butt and legs. Wasn’t there before. She washes with a washcloth only. No sunshine. Out twice with me all year. Was told to stay away for 2 months also. Room changes with no explanation. Third room change. No explanations. No hearing aids for visits. Told never to come there to visit by social worker Mandy. Told supervised visits only by Mari, Admin. Ambushed room by Admin. Creating terror. With lies to 2 sheriff officers. Never was like this before. First it’s the walker with little movement and surely wheelchair, next. Reported to supervisor Jody, fraudulent admission 12/15/2022. She was taken there 12/13/2022. I was excluded from knowing anything. Also, screening of any info I leave for mom. Any phone numbers I’ve left on board are taken down. And, pic of my house with my phone number. Gone. Reported to pm supervisor, in person. Who raised her eyes. Gave me ombudsman info. She is more than welcome to stay with me. Even a Christmas poster we made her from family. With bible verse on back. Stolen and taken down. She wasn’t sick to go there. The temporary or emergency forever legal guardian aka my sister, has put up 60 year photos only. For dementia narrative. Mom wants out. No way to live. Wants and has new doctor. Doesn’t want the Medical Director to be her doctor. Very concerned she’s being sedated and the health risks from. See her sleeping in hallways. More than once. Mom says she sleeps 10 times a day and is bored in there. I and a cousin have been kicked out visiting. Driving 3 hours to visit. Past 8pm. Gina threatened sheriff if we left for lunch. We signed out at nurses station, per rules. Chased down hallway yelling and holding us at the front door. With a man. Standing guard. Should be on your tape. 12/31/2022. Gina blocked front door with another man. Demanded we stay there while she calls youngest daughter who says she will never be allowed to leave the facility ever. Per Gina. Lpn. Allowing a gatekeeper. Working together. Can’t believe the unethical and unprofessional behaviors. Mari admin claims this didn’t happen. In my moms face with mask dangling. On video. 1/6/2023. Oldest daughter will care for her. That’s me. Her son and daughter dropped her off, like a dog. Lying to her. Lying to me. Then state alleged dementia and slander us both to obtain involuntary emergency guardianship. Horrific. Admin Mari directing. They knew what they were doing. Mari admin stating to me I feel sorry for you. Threatening me. Gave mom’s rights away. And, mine. Mandy bragging about controlling her rights. 4/23/23. Ambushed 3 of us leaving. Mom was admitted as self pay. This is a plan. Mom had legal documents in place so this never happened. Handfuls of meds per mom. Cruel.

You can feel the love/caring from the moment you walk in. You see happy faces walking and wheeling around the halls, residents and staff alike.
