Our father has been at The Oaks for about 3 months. His rehab has been fantastic and he is infinitely stronger than when he entered. The staff has been extremely helpful and understanding. They have taken wonderful care of him and he has gotten to the point where he can now go to assisted living. I cannot recommend them more highly!!

I wish I could give this facility more than 5 stars. My grandmother was there and she received the best care! From nursing, all the way to the housekeeping, everything was amazing. The staff is so caring and really takes the time to know and love your people, the food is great, and the activities are awesome. I would never recommend a facility other than this one, and anybody who is looking for a place for their loved one; you would make the right decision by choosing this one!

Zero stars would be a more accurate rating for this facility. I strongly urge families to look elsewhere. The positive picture painted during our tour completely vanished on day one. Intake was cold, mechanical, and lacked basic compassion. During my mother’s short stay, our family had to constantly demand basic hygiene care, such as daily baths and clean clothes. Most concerningly, they accepted her knowing the hospital recommended specialized memory care, which they are not equipped to handle. Instead, they kept her for two weeks under skilled nursing, only to discharge her because she…

Instead, they kept her for two weeks under skilled nursing, only to discharge her because she wasn't "progressing"—an outcome we explicitly warned them would happen. In my opinion, they knowingly admitted an unsuitable patient simply to collect the guaranteed Medicare funds before forcing her out.

We could not be more grateful for the care and compassion our mom receives at The Oaks at Bethesda. From the little things to the big ones, the staff goes above and beyond every single day to make her feel loved, comfortable, and truly at home. They play her favorite music during lunch and dinner, which brings her so much joy, and they always make sure she gets to participate in activities she enjoys. One of the most touching things is seeing the messages they leave on the whiteboard in her room—simple reminders that they love her, but they mean everything to our family. Knowing she is surrounded by people who genuinely care about her well-being gives us such incredible peace of mind. We are so thankful for the kindness, attention, and heart they pour into what they do. It truly makes all the difference.

My mother has been a resident of the Oaks at Bethesda for 18 months. All staff at this facility are very caring and at times seem almost like our family. Mom enjoys the activities and all the parties and extra activities that are planned throughout the day. She enjoys the food and Happy Hour each Friday with a musician for an hour. Having her hair washed and styled on site is another favorite of hers. My family feels so fortunate to have mom being taken care of by such a caring staff. In fact she may be getting a little spoiled! Thanks again to all staff for the exceptional care you are giving to mom! The Shepler Family

My mom is a resident at The Oaks at Bethesda, and I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about her care. The staff is consistently kind, attentive, and treats her with such dignity and respect. My husband and I visit often, and the team goes out of their way to make us feel welcome, too. We love seeing the activities they plan—it shows how much they care about keeping residents engaged and happy. It means so much to our family to know she is surrounded by such compassionate people. We are truly grateful for everything they do.

The Oaks truly feels like a second home for our family. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes everyone feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. They’ve been incredibly accommodating—especially when we reserved a room to host a birthday party for my grandmother’s great-grandchildren. I can’t say enough good things about how thoughtful and supportive they’ve been. Knowing my grandmother is surrounded by such nurturing and friendly staff gives me real peace of mind when I can’t be there. The activities department also does an amazing job creating fun and meaningful experiences for residents and their families. I always enjoy seeing photos on Facebook of my grandmother crafting, playing bingo, or baking—it’s clear she’s happy and engaged. The Oaks has truly become a home away from home for all of us, and we’re so grateful for everything they do.

I am very grateful to the entire team at the Oaks at Bethesda for the care they provide to my mom. I mean this from the bottom of my heart! Thank you for all you do!! ❤️
