My mother was in this nursing home for 2 years. I had talked with her over the phone and visited her when I could. I sent cards and snd gifts for every holiday. I live in South Carolina, which is a nine hour drive. I was working and couldn’t make it up to see her as much as I would have liked to. I am the oldest daughter. My sister is younger and took care of her finances and lived in the same city. We don’t communicate, so calling or driving up was the only way to talk to my mother. I had called several times in the last months of her life and would be put on hold. I continued to call and…

I continued to call and asked not to be put on hold. I asked the last time if she was still there. They hung up. I did find out my mother had in fact passed away and wouldn’t tell me any information or that she was no longer alive. I found out that it was illegal to withhold information from me and not even tell me she had passed. If another family member had told them not to tell me without a court order it was illegal. If I had known this then I would have filed a lawsuit against them. That was an injustice and cruel act on their part. They had no right to do that. I will never forget this and I have told everyone I know not to use that horrible place. I was born and raised in Marion and raised my family there. Shame on them. You have no idea the hurt you caused for me, her daughter and my children, her grandchildren.

I’ve spent a lot of time around this community, and it’s clear how much the Activities Director John, Head Nurse Jean, and Maintenance Supervisor Dave care about the residents and the place itself. Staff come and go like anywhere, but the core team keeps the community steady and well cared for.

March 21, 2025 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this letter to highly recommend Wyndmoor Assisted Living Facility, where my parents have been residents for nearly a year. March 21, 2025 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this letter to highly recommend Wyndmoor Assisted Living Facility, where my parents have been residents for nearly a year. Throughout their time at Wyndmoor, my brothers and I have witnessed firsthand the exceptional care, attention, and respect they receive from the staff and other residents. The team at Wyndmoor has gone above and beyond in ensuring that my parents’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met. The level of care provided is outstanding, and it brings us great peace of mind knowing they are in such good hands. From the compassionate and dedicated staff members to the warm community atmosphere, Wyndmoor has truly become an extension of our family. The relationships built here are remarkable, and we are consistently impressed with how each resident is treated with dignity and respect. Wyndmoor has allowed my parents to continue enjoying their lives together, and we are so grateful for that. They are not just being cared for—they are thriving in an environment where they are valued and appreciated. In fact, next month, my parents will celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary, and we feel incredibly fortunate that they are able to continue their life journey together at Wyndmoor. I wholeheartedly recommend Wyndmoor Assisted Living Facility to anyone looking for a caring, supportive, and welcoming environment for their loved ones. It has been a true blessing for our family, and we are so thankful for the outstanding care provided. Sincerely, Kristin Dyer

If I could give 0 starts I would. At first glance it seems like at nice place but after a few months we realized they don't respond to the residents emergency calls and many residents have been known to be left on the floor for HOURS after they have fallen without any help.

Very friendly staff, there are a lot of outings and recreational activities, nursing staff is helpful in emergencies, there is a lovely view of a pond with ducks and geese. I would say they do a pretty good job.

My mother is at The Wyndmoor Marion. My sister put her there, and I've gotten to know the staff over the last five months and they've been a huge help. They know what they're dealing with and how to take care of mom. She's in assisted living and we're just moving her downstairs to the memory ward. The staff has been a huge help to me in getting things taken care of and putting extra effort into helping Mom. My only fault with the place is the food. They need to have better and more nutritious meals than what the older people are used to eating. They have activities pretty much every day. They have everything from exercise to a spa and a hair salon, pharmacy, and doctors. For the cost and the care that she's getting, it's a good value.

I visited The Wyndmoor Marion. They have very friendly staff, it's clean, and they're building new rooms so that attracted me. The staff there was helpful. They have a whirlpool tub for the community, the grounds are pleasant and you can sit outside, and they have a community dining area. The room itself has a small kitchenette, a refrigerator, and a microwave, there are bars in the shower and things that make it easy.

For the amount of money they charge the service for the residents has been declining since Wyndmoor took over...the handyman served them their breakfast this morning...smh!
