If you have to send your loved one here please keep a close eye on them...although you most likely won't be able to. They don't answer the phones, won't allow family to visit citing covid positive staff, even though we're vaccinated. They're neglectful and abusive. They over medicated my Grandma with multiple different sedatives she didn't need (documented by ER doc). They crushed her meds and put them in her applesauce without telling her. When she tried to tell an RN the aide told the RN my grandma was just senile, which she is not. She was so medicated she couldn't answer her phone or…

Awful, disgusting and deplorable place and employees.
Psa if any of yall have family in heartland of Westerville. Check on them the ppl there are not trained properly. You cant visit but nobody knows who goes in the rooms, they don't answer phones or return calls to the family, they don't take care of the patients. My husband has a fiscal in his left arm they took his blood pressure in that arm his hand swelled up. That can cause blood clots. He had surgery over 2weeks ago he has over 30 stitches. The wound is swelled and bleeding. He has been changing his own bandages. Just check your ppl this place is a joke....
This place ended up being terrible my dads briefcase and iphone ended up getting lost. I had to go back twice and matt never returned my phone call i ended up getting my dads breiefcase with his passport. but seriously it was all sticky and dirty and had a bad reside i had to wipe off with clorax wipes. Anyways his phone was lost and they did nothing to fix that, sunk cost. At least i got his passport though and important documents, he's in terrible condition at his new nursing home he's in terrible condition because of how Uptown westervile treated him his last month of April. One star for the overworked NA’s....can’t say one good thing about it otherwise. Could list numerous medical mishaps with my Mother years back and I’m sorry to hear it has continued.
The place is a dump, the parking lot has sink holes not pot holes, it is very run down. However, the staff I feel does a good job with what they are given, they are caring and sweet to my mother-in-law. I feel the staff needs more support to do their job. Unfortunately when a loved one has to rely on Medicaid it seems that the facility is always old and rundown, I don’t know where the money goes?
If your loved one needs 24 hour care and any special care, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! They are understaffed for aides and so patients have to wait for everything. The social worker is the most uncaring person I have ever encountered working in the health industry. She needs not to talk to family members, really should not talk with anyone. I think her name is Tina. The PT staff is awesome. But they do not get to work with the patient all the time.
The staff is attentive, caring, and responsive. My handicapped brother had a short term stay and the staff was excellent in tending to his needs. They came within the first 30 minutes of arriving to assess him, check on his medications, confirm his medication schedule and wound cleaning. The facility allowed our family to stay 24/7 with him while he was recovering. His doctor from OSU had staff come and assess him and they kept in constant communication to ensure his recovery was on point and each new issue or need was met. The facility itself is undergoing updates. His room was one that needed some updating, but the staff and care and attentiveness of housekeeping to PT to the nurses and aids was very good. Any concerns we had, were communicated and addressed within a reasonable time.
There is an ongoing issue with air conditioning in this facility. This has to be hard on patients with breathing problems. Really felt bad for the staff as everyone just looked hot and uncomfortable. We came to visit and didn’t stay long. Needless to say, we are looking at other facilities. No towels or clean sheets available to even take a shower in this place or have the bed linens changed. This facility is also always understaffed.
