Terrible place, don't bring your loved ones here. They will be neglected.

Update- 3/6/26 I received a phone from the NO and it was a great conversation. She apologized for not returning my call Friday. I explained I totally understand, Friday was a holiday for many. Long story short, the NP was unaware that we wanted to speak with her. We both apologized and spoke business regarding my father. After speaking with Amanda, I felt my better. Rating- Like many places, workers are overworked. I will say I feel like my father is safe in the facility; however, he has had to wait longer than I would like, to go to the restroom. Rating- Like many places, workers are overworked. I will say I feel like my father is safe in the facility; however, he has had to wait longer than I would like, to go to the restroom. Again it is easy to judge but we all want the best for our loved ones. My father is currently in the facility and has been for 10 days and is scheduled to be discharged soon. This review is based on the NP, Amanda. I have been attempting to reach the NP since my father arrived and she has yet to reach out to our family. Granted, she is only at the facility two days a week, but cannot find time to return the call or meet with us when we are in the room. I’m not sure what kind of family members they are used to but we care about our father and we are very involved in caring for our parents. The lack of communication from the NP is totally unacceptable and it is a reflection of her bedside manners!

I do not recommend this facility. My mom was in the rehab unit following hip surgery. She never recovered and passed away shortly after being released from Violet Springs. In fact, I believe they caused her hip to heal incorrectly resulting in significant pain which wasn’t managed properly. The communication was terrible. Didn’t return phone calls. The care was negligent. She got bed sores on several areas and we weren’t notified nor was care given to heal them. We weren’t told about a UTI she got while there. I’m sickened by the suffering she experienced while in their care. Please be aware…

Great staff!!! Awesome people

It’s a nice looking facility and meets the “nice” factor but I’m just not sure how equipped they are to deal with more complex rehab cases. My dad was suffering from Parkinson’s and dementia and I think being here only made it worse because they weren’t giving his medication on schedule. Multiple nights he was experiencing delirium and eventually they just discharged him to the hospital and then said he couldn’t come back after his hospital stay. And I get it, I do, but I never spoke with an activities director, with a medical team, or even with his therapists. It all seemed very “yeah this guy is a Medicare rehab patient” and that was that Again, nice facility but I’m just not sure they care much about their non-revenue generating assisted living patients

DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!!! I cannot stress this enough! Tracey the "sales director" is just that, a salesperson. At first glance, the place looks beautiful, but don't that make your decision like I did. They would give my 93 year old father, (who was placed there for rehab on a serious foot injury) 6 pills to take at 6am on an empty stomach and then not bring him any food until after 9am...he was so sick from the medication, he would throw up whatever he ate. He would also sit in a soaked diaper for hours after calling for the nurse a dozen times. I took my concerns to Tracey twice and she did NOTHING!! The aides stand around on their cell phones or talking to each other, while call lights all blinking like crazy waiting on help. My dad called me at 6:30 am crying and said "please get me out of here, I don't want to die here" He went home with hospice care and passed a week later. Again, PLEASE DO NOT CONSIDER THIS HELL HOLE.

My first impression was that the facility was very clean and looked very nice. The people were very nice and I thought it was going to be a good experience. My dad went there for rehab to recover from stomach surgery and he was on overnight TPN. Within 2 weeks he lost 10 pounds and his surgeon pulled him out and back into the hospital. My dad would lay there all day and just vomit. When they would give him his meds he would immediately vomit them up and the staff would just walk away. So he was getting NO medications. No antibiotics, no heart medication, none of it. Every time we’d get him up in his wheelchair to go for a walk, I would have to ask someone to change his bed because it was dirty every single time. Once he got back in the hospital he tested positive for MRSA and was in the worst condition he’s ever been in. The staff also removed a lamp from his room that I had bought for him because it had a remote and when I asked about it everyone acted like I was crazy. I would never recommend this place to single person whether I liked them or not. They will let your loved one wither away. Very sad.

My uncle was transferred on a Saturday from Riverside. There was nobody to greet transport, they found the kitchen staff. And he never received any prescription medication for 48 hours because they hadn't set it up Friday when the hospital called and no pharmacy available over the weekend. And finally he was never put on the meal list so for 48 hours he got cold, left over food. This is a complete failure on Violet Springs. Please get your house in order. The cost of this place means people should expect a minimum of services. Never allow your family or friends to go here on a weekend.
