My dad moved in. In 3 months he has recovered from a year neglected in the PT that is on-site and gotten stronger than he has been in 10 years. His no cholesterol diet is no issue. We love the staff. There are plenty of outings. He even met the owner- unlike other places where the owners view seniors as their cash cow. There is always something going on and he has an actual life- full of music, things to do, and PT! We are so glad we found Vista Springs. Another senior home recommended it- that's how great it is. Very clean and inviting place. The workers are all kind and attentive. They have numerous activities for the residents and an upbeat atmosphere with a positive vibe. Very highly recommend.
Promised high patient to staff ratio however this was not true. Had to track down staff most of the time for help and finally when we located one heard multiple times, “We are short staffed.” They use a lot of 3rd party contractors rather than in-house nursing. Nurses are LPN’s-no RN’s.
Everyone is extremely kind and welcoming. The residents all had positive attitudes and looked well taken care of. Furthermore, the establishment is clean and provides many services to keep the residents active.
