⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finding the right place for my sister, who has Alzheimer’s, was very important to me. I wanted somewhere that felt more like a home than a facility, and I am so thankful we found Westbrook Assisted Living & Memory Care in Upper Sandusky. Her apartment is wonderful. It feels like a small home, with a living room, a little kitchen area with a table, a bedroom, and a nice-sized bathroom. Having her own comfortable space makes such a difference. What really stands out to me, though, is the staff. Everyone is so friendly, kind, and caring. They truly look out for the residents, and knowing…
They truly look out for the residents, and knowing that gives our family such peace of mind. I can see that they genuinely care about the people they are taking care of. The activities director is absolutely wonderful! He keeps the residents busy and engaged every single day. They go out to restaurants a couple of times a month, go fishing, visit the park, and enjoy other outings. When they aren't going on trips, there are games, movies, exercises, and many other activities. His calendar is always full, and it is wonderful to see how much thought and effort he puts into keeping everyone involved and happy. The facility also hosts special events, which makes it feel even more like a community. Most importantly, my sister is happy there, and I know she is well taken care of. That means more to me than I can put into words. Thank you to everyone at Westbrook for being so caring, compassionate, and dedicated to your residents. We are truly grateful to have found such a wonderful place for my sister. ❤️
Westbrook does a great job with my mom. Their facility is well kept, rooms are nice size and they provide good assistance.
I was impressed with the level of love and care the staff had for all the residents! The caring and attention to every need by housekeeping, aids, nurses, and administration was excellent!
Westbrook staff give their all for each and every resident every day !
Our family is very pleased with the care our family member receives at Westbrook Assisted Living. The facility does a great job of supporting their independence and personal interests. They love to garden, so the raised beds in the courtyard are a wonderful feature that keeps them active outdoors. The staff is professional and encouraging, and the grounds are clean and well-maintained. We highly recommend this community for its practical amenities and attentive care.
My mother has been a resident at Wedtbrook for two years. Our family has been real pleased with the detailed attention they have provided for her. Everyone is kind and pleasant to us and her. The facility is well kept and extra services they provide are great. Mom especially enjoys the bingo and extra programs they do with the residents. Thanks to all who make this a pleasant experience for my mom in her later years. Daughter, Carol Taylor ❤️
I found an assisted living home and I just moved in. This is a great place and it's called Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care. They have beautiful small units. I'm in a one-bedroom apartment and I get three meals a day. I get assistance whenever I needed. Right now, I'm sitting down in my one-bedroom apartment, and I can't get up. There's a cord I can call, and they'll help me get up and get over to the bed. They're friendly, too. There is a nice fridge, a microwave, a sink, a walk-in shower, closets for clothes, room for a bed, a chair, and a couple of tables. There are levels and I'm at the top level, which is the most expensive. These levels are going from four down to one, one being the least expensive where you can take care of yourself mostly, and four is me, who's just out of two months in the hospital and I need all the service I can get. I would recommend this. It's an awful lot of money, but it's worth it. It's comparable to other facilities around this part of the country. They're all pricey.
Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care is nice as far as assisted living. But for one with dementia and Alzheimer's, as it progresses, I don't feel that it has the right service. They don't have a separate memory care unit. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice. I got to see one room. The person had just moved out because they had not got it cleaned up and repaired for someone to move in. I only saw one size of a room and it was nice. I didn't like where the dining room and the recreation were. They were there when you first walked in the door. They also have a theater there.
