I’m so floored with how great this place is. The experience from the second in the door all the way through is beyond amazing. I’ve never experienced a staff be so on top of their jobs and on top of everything going on in that building and with every patient there. I stopped in to drop clothes and things off right before my father in law was brought over from the hospital, everyone knew his name and where he was going to be, I asked a few questions and was met with detailed answers and information about how his stay was going to go. I’m so floored with how great this place is. The experience from the second in the door all the way through is beyond amazing. I’ve never experienced a staff be so on top of their jobs and on top of everything going on in that building and with every patient there. I stopped in to drop clothes and things off right before my father in law was brought over from the hospital, everyone knew his name and where he was going to be, I asked a few questions and was met with detailed answers and information about how his stay was going to go. From the second that my father in-law was brought it he was seen by 2 different nurses who knew about all the different health conditions he has, they asked him all typical questions and they did a very thorough physical exam. Any questions we’ve had they have had detailed answers or found someone who did. Called us immediately when he took a spill (he didn't ask for help when he should’ve) even when he was completely fine. The staff set a meeting with us where we met with the physical therapist and 4 other members of staff and answered every single one of our questions and concerns, helped us set a health plan, spoke with us about insurance and walked us through what discharge would look like. They even helped arrange getting my father in law to his doctors appointment and back. A huge, huge thank you to the staff here for everything you all do, how much you all care and how hard you all work.

My mother was placed here for rehab back in December 2025. The staff was wonderful to both her and I. She is now in the process of going back for long term care. As a patient advocate and her daughter, I will be visiting regularly and voicing any concerns I have immediately. It is important to remember that as a family member, or loved one, you are still responsible for ensuring they are taken care of. The entire world is short staffed and I truly believe we in the caregiver profession do everything we can to accommodate the needs of our clients/patients. I will happily give all the supplies I have to the nursing home for my mother if it helps. I would take care of her if I was able, but unfortunately I do not possess the knowledge, education, or environment necessary to meet her needs. It is my prayer and hope that with the help of the Woodlands, I will finally be able to enjoy my mother’s company and spend the quality time she so desperately longs for, rather than one stressed out mother and one extremely overwhelmed daughter. Be kind to one another. Many blessings to all who read this.
The Woodlands in Ravenna has a very responsive administration. Staff is friendly and provides great care. The kitchen staff furnishes the perfect variety of meals. The cleaning staff works above and beyond. The nursing staff genuinely cares for the residents. Thank you.
Marianne and I are both in our 80"s. Born in Youngstown, Ohio but now live in Hot Springs village Arkansas. We traveled to Kent Ohio to spend the 2025 Xmas holidays. Unfortunately Marianne fell and broke her hip 3hours after arriving in Ohio. After the surgery we selected Woodlands to perform the physical therapy and could not be more pleased. Woodlands personal service was more than we excepted and the therapy was professional and helpful. Within days my wife was completely mobile and confident of her every move. I would highly recommend Woodlands for all your necessary needs. MRV Arkansas
This place is horrible. Don’t ever put your loved ones in there. My mom had back surgery last October and when she went in there for the three months for rehabilitation, she was not supposed to get up and walk to the bathroom on her own. Every time she pushed the Call light button nobody would come to her room. She would call me crying because she had to use the bathroom so thank God I just lived right down the road and I could come there if need be they always said they were short staffed. They never gave her a shower. I had to come in and shower her that place is horrible. Please do not put your loved ones in there.
My sister spent most of a year at Woodlands in Ravenna, and although we moved her(she needed more of an assisted living situation and she was on Medicare), our experience with all the folks associated with Woodlands, from the receptionist up to the administrators, was positive. They were all very nice and helpful, especially the nurses on her floor. And the admins were the ones who recognized her need to be in a more social environment. Thanks to Woodlands for taking care of her.
