Staff are competent and caring. Makes me feel secure knowing he is safe and taken care of.

It's a bad feeling to have to put your loved one into a nursing facility. I don't have a lot of experience with nursing homes. Alois is mostly good. They feed the patients very good food. The activities are fun. I have played noodle ball with them. They have ice cream socials, and people coming in to sing, word puzzles and TV. It's seldom the place smells bad. Every now and then. Not often. I appreciate the nursing staff. I wish they got more pay. They have a very difficult job. I couldn't do it.

My 97-yr-old stepmother is on Medicaid. I was really worried that we wouldn't be able to find a good placement for her. Alois has been a real blessing! The staff are very kind and really care about the residents' well-being. The facility is clean and cheerfully decorated, the medical supervision is excellent, and the food is good. Alois may not have all of the amenities of a high end facility like an indoor pool, etc., but it provides solid care. I highly recommend it!

I appreciate that Alois specializes in care for patients with Alzheimer’s/dementia and other degenerative brain conditions, and that they have tiered units based on patients’ capabilities. Staff are friendly and helpful and the facility is kept clean. I would like more activities/stimulation for residents with lesser functioning.

Mom recently moved in. The staff has been very open and honest with us, much more than our previous experiences in homes for older parents. Most importantly, my mom likes it here and almost never has anything negative to report. We are always greeted by friendly staff no matter what they do for the facility and we almost never worry about my mom’s care here. They were also so helpful in getting her placed in the right area of the facility, which was so important to us and also which is unique to the Alois as they specialize in memory care exclusively. We definitely recommend Alois for families trying to navigate this disease with another family member who suffers from it. They seem to just “get it”, which gives us so much peace of mind.

My sister was there was about 3 years. The staff was so care to her. They treated her like she was their mother. I will always recommend this facility to anyone!

My mother was only at Alois for a short time before her passing, but every person we encountered, from the front desk, the front office, the nursing staff, and everyone in between, was unbelievably helpful, compassionate, caring and attentive to my mother's needs. They understand the disease progression in Alzheimer and dementia patients and have empathy and patience with each and every patient. We are so thankful for their care and assistance in this time of need.

What a beautiful place of peace and grace!!!
