This is a fantastic facility to have a loved one stay in, short or long term. Their memory care unit is staffed with saints who have the greatest of patience and kind hearts. Our loved one was treated with dignity, kindness, and respect. The staff are great at what they do and easy to get along with, always answering questions or seeking solutions for any sudden issues. The facility is simple and clean, provides a peaceful environment both inside and out, and offers scenic views of the rural countryside where this facility is set.

This facility provided an unacceptable level of care, and I would not recommend it for anyone you care about. This facility provided an unacceptable level of care, and I would not recommend it for anyone you care about. I visited my mother every day during her stay and consistently had to advocate for even the most basic needs. She was admitted for rehabilitation, yet instead of supporting her recovery, staff allowed her to remain in bed or seated for extended periods with minimal engagement. During my visits, I routinely had to reposition her legs to prevent pressure on her heels, request that she be showered, and ask for her bedding to be changed. On Friday, her skin showed no concerning issues. By Saturday, she had developed what appeared to be a small blister that had not been present the day before. I also asked staff to apply lotion because her legs were extremely dry and flaky. Whatever was applied caused her significant discomfort, and she had to request its removal. The following day, I arrived to find her foot and ankle severely bruised, swollen, and showing a large, alarming wound. The swelling was so severe that I could not touch the area. I requested that she be sent to the emergency room for evaluation. Although staff initially agreed, they later called to say they had started her on antibiotics and asked whether I still wanted her transferred. I insisted. She was subsequently admitted to the ICU with blood clots in her lungs, legs, and arm, along with sepsis and pneumonia. She remains hospitalized and is still fighting to recover.

Place seems generally nice. The entrance should be more wheelchair accessible in my opinion, especially since it's a nursing home. It's very difficult to get a wheelchair over one of the bumps in the doorway, and one of the exterior ramps is blocked by a brick mailbox.

Cant say enough about all the staff from kitchen, housekeeping ,techs, nurses, rehab staff, social worker and everyone else. So caring every one of them. My stay was in November 2025. Took great care of me while in rehab. Special thanks to the girls in rehab. Thanks to everyone!

Our mother just finished up a stay at Altercare Country Lawn and we can’t say enough good things about this facility. The staff is knowledgeable, caring and eager to help. There was great communication from top to bottom. Everything is clean and the food was great. We will encourage anyone we know to take their loved ones here.

I have a friend who stayed at Altercare for her rehab after gastrointestinal surgery earlier in 2025. Her experience at Altercare was fantastic. Good food, compassionate care - she said she felt like she was staying in a resort hotel! She made excellent recovery from her surgery and highly recommends the facility!

I highly recommend this facility—10/10! Their communication regarding my father's care was outstanding. They worked hard to set him up for success, ensuring he was safe and prepared to return home, where he lives alone. They helped him regain his strength and even arranged at-home care for the next four weeks to guide him on what he needs to do. He stayed at the facility for just a week, and when he came home, it was the first time I’d seen him walk without his walker in months. He looks better than he has in so long. I’m incredibly thankful for this facility and their constant encouragement, which has kept him on the right path to regaining his strength and improving his health.

My best friend, age 74, and over whom I have power of attorney over his health, was taken to this death camp after an 18 day hospital stay for sepsis. While in the hospital, my friend contracted Flu A from another patient and possibly C Dif, which is why the hospitalization had to be extended. On the day of discharge, my friend was talking and eating normally. The transport tech stated adamantly that she would not recommend Country Lawns. And yet there is where my friend was taken. After 8 days in the facility, he went straight to hell and looked ready to die. Wilma, the nursing director, and Nancy the social worker, convinced me to agree to a do not resuscitate order because of my friend's declining status, for which they could offer no explanation. They clearly told me that if he was suffering from an infection, they would seek treatment for him, BUT this was not the case. He was suffering from pneumonia, likely contracted from the nursing home and YET they did nothing. I had to call them early in the morning and demand that they take him to the hospital, which they promptly did. His electrolytes were critical, his O2 was 60% and his INR was critical, above 8. And yet, the staff at Country Lawns didn't care to investigate why he was doing so poorly because they wanted him to die. All his major health issues were orthopedic, stemming from compression fractures in his spine, which led to immobilization, and then chronic foot sores. He didn't have diabetes, dementia, or clogged arteries heart disease. And the hospital said the CAT Scan of his abdomen showed no cancer masses. And yet, the nursing home staff wanted to see him die purely from neglect. The place doesn't deserve one Medicare dollar for skilled nursing. It's a death camp. They need sued for neglect.
