Mr Lewis loved being there and was very well taken care of. On the occasions I visited from North Carolina, I loved seeing the staff interactions with him and I always left knowing they were doing the very best for him. He even liked most of the food! Our son visited him every single Saturday. He, too, was treated with kindness and respect by the staff. Debbie in the front office went above and beyond with everything she was tasked with to handle.…

My ex-husband was at AlterCare for 5 years. I cannot say enough about the beautiful facility, the amazing staff and the level of care he had. Mr Lewis loved being there and was very well taken care of. On the occasions I visited from North Carolina, I loved seeing the staff interactions with him and I always left knowing they were doing the very best for him. He even liked most of the food! Our son visited him every single Saturday. He, too, was treated with kindness and respect by the staff. Debbie in the front office went above and beyond with everything she was tasked with to handle. Sadly, Mr Lewis passed away unexpectedly this past weekend. I take great comfort in knowing his last days were happy ones. Thank you, Altercare staff, for doing what you do for others every single day.
The facility is very clean, the staff is very helpful and fantastic, the whole staff is always smiling and it makes you feel good just to see that. The activity staff encourage you daily to socialize and bring puzzles to you to do. I would recommend Altercare Zanesville!
The care here as a patient has been great. The admission process with Ariel and Jessica was made very easy they were both very knowledgeable. The aides answer my light timely and will help me do whatever they can. I would recommend the whole staff at Altercare Zanesville to anyone.

Altercare zanesville is one of the cleanest facilities I’ve ever walked into. There is no smells other than the food coming from the kitchen. The activity director always has something going on for the residents to engage. The facility is very welcoming and everyone has a smile and the residents are safe and loved as family.
Everybody was wonderful, nice, kind and respectful. Food was good. I was well taken care of! I would recommend this facility to anyone!
my dad was transferred to Altercare Zanesville mid February 2025 after a stroke. The rooms are small, but kept very neat and generally clean.they have on-site, physical therapy, transport to his doctor appointments, and an on site barbershop. He says the food is good, but it lacks seasoning lol. The staff seem to know my dad very well, & take very good care of him for the most part. They are pretty good at keeping me updated on any medical changes or changes in his medication; They have done very well in watching and making sure he doesn’t get pressure sores. I think that shows they’re very attentive and bathe him daily. overall, my sister and I are very pleased with the level of care. Dad has received here.
Great place,great food. The staff is excellent
My mother was recently in Altercare in Zanesville for physical and occupational therapy after suffering a heart attack. She was in 6 days during which we found the nurses to be wonderful, the aides were friendly and very helpful. The physical therapy department was excellent. Mom had 17 meals there and most of which she said were very good. Mom is in her nineties and this was a pleasant experience for her and us kids. Thanks to everyone at Altercare
