We moved my dad into Arden Courts (Anderson) in early April 2026, and our experience has been truly exceptional. My dad’s memory condition is compounded by significant balance challenges that require him to use a wheelchair, along with cognitive issues that can be difficult at times. Despite these complexities, the team at Arden Courts consistently treats him with dignity, patience, and respect. What really sets Arden Courts apart is their deep understanding of memory care. Unlike a traditional skilled nursing or assisted living facility, their staff takes the time to learn each resident as an individual, recognizing their unique needs, triggers, and the best ways to provide support and redirection. That personalized approach makes an enormous difference. The facility itself feels warm and inviting, with thoughtfully designed, color-coded “neighborhoods” that include familiar spaces like living rooms, kitchens, and dining areas. The common areas are especially well done, featuring themed spaces such as a beach area, music room, library, workshop, care station, and travel room, all designed to spark recognition and comfort. There are also wonderful opportunities for connection and engagement. The community room and studio spaces foster a real sense of belonging, and the activities team does an outstanding job offering a variety of options, games, trivia, music, and more, to keep residents involved and engaged. One of the most meaningful features is the secure outdoor space, which allows residents the freedom to safely explore and enjoy fresh air, with multiple pathways and access points that encourage independence. Most importantly, our family has gained tremendous peace of mind knowing our dad is in such capable and compassionate hands. The staff genuinely cares about his well-being, and that level of dedication is invaluable to us.

I am so disappointed in this facility. My father pays a boatload of money to live here, and the care is not up to standard. I went to visit my Father on thursday and his bed was completely soaked in urine. I went to the aide to ask her to change the sheets and get him cleaned up, and she got a nasty attitude with me over it (mind you, she was sitting on her phone when I asked). I went to find Amanda, whom I was under the assumption was the DON, but she got very short with me, and I felt dismissed. I don't know why I get ignored for wanting basic care performed for my father. I ended up scheduling a care conference with her because when I came back friday his sheets were covered in urine stains. She showed up late, acted like she didn't know who my father is at all, and acted very disengaged from the conversation. My opinion is, if you want to spend money, just find a home health service and keep your loved one at home with you.
