I was unsure about placing my mom there at first. Iwe were greeted by the staff and talked with the DON and Both case managers the first day with nothing but respect and they ensured me my mom would be in great hands. We had only 1 issue but it was corrected the next day after we talked with the proper people. I have to say my mom enjoyed herself there in her private room watching tv relaxing. The nurses never made my mom feel helpless and even with treated her with respect. The nurses never made my mom feel helpless and even with treated her with respect. Once my mom was getting discharged they even helped her to get her oxygen equipment to have for home to prevent a new hospitalization. They stayed till they felt we had everything to make sure she was comfortable after discharge to go home and all medication was given to us with a check list. Her room was always clean and they even made sure she was accommodated with a meal that she couldn’t have. This place and the staff we had did an amazing job.
I only gave 1 star because you couldn't give it a 0 star or negative rating!!! Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES do you want to put ANY ONE in this facility that you love. My husband arrived on 6/03 from a rehab center and I had him taken out of there after calling 911 on 6/06 because he declined immediately after arriving didn't eat, or try to talk or move. I would almost get physically ill when I would step in to this place. The smell was UNGODLY and there were patients roaming the whole facility inside and outside. Had I not called 911 that evening there is no doubt in my mind that he would no longer…

I would almost get physically ill when I would step in to this place. The smell was UNGODLY and there were patients roaming the whole facility inside and outside. Had I not called 911 that evening there is no doubt in my mind that he would no longer be alive. The EMT's immediately tested his blood sugar and it was 55 he is not a diabetic but hadn't eaten or drank in almost 3 days so that did not surprise me. The immediately administered an IV and gave him Glucose water to where he did become somewhat alert but could not tell them his name, birthday or where he was at. One of the firemen told me he hated coming to this place and they had been trying to get it shut down well hearing that made me even more convinced that I was getting him out of there if I had to take him out myself!!! They rushed him to Good Sam where he was from 6/06 until 6/22 and the drs told me he had, had another stroke within the past week!!! I would put my life on it that he had it while he was at this HELL HOLE had I not took it upon myself to call 911 he would be dead or in a coma!!! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS PLACE or for that face your worst enemy!!!
My mom spent 30 days here for rehab. When she got there, the room was not clean and the water in the shower kept running. When she left the room was not clean and the water in the shower was still running. My mom was very unhappy with the service that she was provided. So I removed my mother from this place and I do not recommend this place for anyone.
I would not recommend Aventura at West Park to anyone. My loved one was discharged without any prior notice or communication from the facility. Because of this lack of coordination, they were sent home without any home care services in place and missing essential medical equipment. The experience during the stay was equally disappointing. The staff was consistently rude and "nasty" to both the patient and the family. Additionally, the food quality was poor and often unpalatable. This facility failed us on both a clinical and professional level. Avoid this place if you want your family member to be treated with respect and safety.
My mother is in here. This place has been without water for almost a month every other month There’s big issues like this maintenance can’t figure out the problem. One side of the building doesn’t have hot water the other side does this place need to be closed down.
After further inspection and occupation of this facility is should be closed due to lack of safety and basic services not provided to residents, no running water for days on end (frozen pipes) multiple occasions..Dec. /2026 ...and billing department is not accurate/ double billing/ billing for services not received..incompetency if not, possible fraudulent billing.. beware ...
First impressions, grocery carts randomly in the parking lot. Why? Step out of the car, EMPLOYEES sitting in cars smoking cannabis. Reeeeks of skunk. As I walked to the door I personally witnessed an employee arguing LOUD with their significant other. Foul language. Made it through the doors.. made it to my moms room.. HOT! 75 degrees today. Room was 80 Degrees Fahrenheit. No A/C, no beside tables, no in house phones. No fans! Suggestions was they opened a window but only about 2 inches ( secured with a screw) to make sure QUOTE “ NO ONE CLIMBS IN” Random residents knocking on her door WHICH DO NOT CLOSE. At all. We were there a total of 5 hours. Residents look confused and nosey. Check it out before sending loved ones. Her nurse was nice. Her aids were male. This facility is run down and literally given scraps. Hear me out, request a walk through before hand. I’m not a picky person, I understand insurance. This place will be shut down. I wish I could post photos.
My mother is currently a resident at Adventura; she's been there a little over a year. I must say although there's been some challenging times that for the most part my mother has been given really good care. It was really hard having my Mom to live outside the home, but we have grown more comfortable as the staff on a lot of occasions have gone out of their way to make us feel like this is a place that really cares. I have witness the staff show exceptional care and I wish we had more people like them; my appreciation and respect has grown for the people who worked in this field.
