My mom stayed in Saint Margaret Hall for skilled nursing. What I liked best is how the building looked, which caught my attention, and the thing I liked least is that there is no care. They lacked staff. No attention was given to the residents because of a lack of staff. They were not attentive. She never had her call light often, like the last time, I don't know how long she fell in a closet. She was found by laundry staff, and it wasn't even the nursing staff. It was not odor-free. There was always a smell throughout her floor, and the food was not to her liking. If they need help eating,…

If they need help eating, there's no staff to help with that. I often would come in, her food would be on the floor, and nobody would be around. I had to cook and buy special gadgets for her utensils that were not offered. The only good thing that was to my liking was the activities. They were very active, there was bingo, they had people come there and perform, and had parties. The therapy was good, but it's just the nursing staff. When you ask for something, they say there's no order, and you know there's an order, then they go back. One time they told me that she had fallen, and nobody had notified me, but they had written it in the charts that the family had been notified, and I'm her only child. A lot of things were not done or put in place between the staff and management.
Do not send you family here if you love them food is served cold no Clean linen hallways cluttered not enough staff to care for your family.I would not send my cat or dog to live there. Equipment doesn’t work it’s a mess there and if you love your family I would stay far away from any carecore facility.
Honestly, I do not even want to give a one star. Unfortunately, my father was a resident there after St. Margaret Hall was sold to Care Core, a for-profit facility. The care of the residents changed almost immediately. I will speak only on behalf of my family and my father. My dad would daily be left in wet clothes, lying in bed without eating breakfast. He would be in pain, and it was not addressed with nursing staff, he did not get regular showers, housekeeping was horrible. My sister and myself would sweep, mop the floor and clean bowel off the bathroom floor daily. I simply am saddened…

He would be in pain, and it was not addressed with nursing staff, he did not get regular showers, housekeeping was horrible. My sister and myself would sweep, mop the floor and clean bowel off the bathroom floor daily. I simply am saddened that my father was not treated with respect and that he had very little autonomy as a result of living in the facility. We did the best that we could as his children. Thank God that the Hospice staff cared. We spoke with administration several times with no good end results. Just very sad. So sorry others have to live the end of their lives in a place like Care Core.
I believe the main staff who are on the floor caring for their residents are doing their best. But whoever is calling the shots on staffing should be fired. Why are there only 2 staff members caring for 40 residents on 1 floor? My mother waits for HOURS to be helped. I've seen their agency hires yell at people, I've found her catheter on the floor FOUR times, I clipped her nails TWO WEEKS AGO and there are STILL clippings on the floor. Healthcare is hard enough as it is. Whatever you THINK looks good on paper is causing neglect. FIX IT AT THE TOP because the bottom is the only thing redeemable here
CareCore Margaret Hall is a complete dumpster fire from administration all the way down to the receptionists the nursing staff was terrible. My wife was suppose to be there to rehab which was on the 3rd floor but they had her on the 2nd floor which is for long term care. They would leave her soiled for hours @ a time. She had bed sores, skin break downs the whole 9. And where they had her room @ was a complete dead zone meaning no nurses no aides no nothing and no nurses was ever where they were supposed to be so I had to go search for them. And they were very very rude never enough staff they didn't even bathe her she was there for 3 months (which was way way to long) and they only given her one shower the whole time. They didn't clean her properly most times I had to go behind them and clean her. They let her fall out the bed. This place is horrible and needs to be shut down immediately or in the words of the big homie T.I. they need to be shut down expeditiously 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 like right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If u have a loved one there get them out now!!!!!!!!!!!!
My mom recently passed away after a long battle with cancer. The administration and staff at Margaret Hall truly treated her like family. They allowed us to turn the library into a beautiful dining room for mom's last Thanksgiving and we spent her last Christmas in her sunny room, around her full size christmas tree. When I came to clean out her room, even the housekeeping person stopped and gave me a hug before she emptied the trash. We will be forever grateful for the level of care and compassion our entire family received from the staff.
This place is a DUMP. CareCore took over and now they run on a skeleton staff. Meals to diabetics are late. The staff is overworked. It is old and rundown and dirty. Oh, and someone will definitely go through your belongings and STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARDS!! *edited to add: the entire kitchen staff WALKED OUT on Thanksgiving Day. Do NOT send your loved one here.
Do not send your family to this facility..The nurses aides and nurses do not care for your family...Check on your family if they reside there...Patients aren't get changed...Patients aren't given water and juices properly..Sometimes they go without something to drink for 8 hours...Patients are getting properly bathed and changed...Residents are siting in poop and piss for days...I am reporting them today
