Communication with staff has been excellent—they keep us informed and are always available to answer questions or address concerns. It truly feels like a community where everyone cares. My mother has been a patient at Cortland healthcare for several years. I cannot say enough good things about how the staff takes care of her and cares about her. Not only the nursing staff and STNA but housekeepers & dietary they are all amazing

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE a PLAGUE!!! My Mom was transferred to this place earlier today (April 2nd) from Mercy Health Hospital 🏥 in Warren to begin Short Term Therapy as part of her ongoing recovery from a shoulder replacement surgery she had on March 18th. At first, I thought this facility was going to be a great place for her. But the room they had her in was a Total DISGRACE!!!... The room had a Bad Chemical Smell, the bed's mattress was sinking in, and there were bugs on the floor. And we were told that this place has a Five out of a Five Star Rating.... What a Joke! I would give a ZERO Rating for this place if I could. I got her out of there after her only being here for just a few hours. She'll be getting her therapy at home. I only wish I would have thoroughly read ALL the reviews. This place definitely needs to be investigated by the Health Authorities. Take my advice.... STAY AWAY!!!

My friend Sheldon Beaver was in this facility and this is what his thoughts are on the facility. The social worker Brenda tries to rule with a iron fist and with a God complex. Their management team makes promises that they dont intend to keep like a single room and gave me nothing. The nurse opened my amazon packages and lied and said they are allowed to open them when ohio laws says that is not allowed. Every meal was missing an item and the temperature of the food was always cold. I could never figure out why the food was always cold and when i looked down the hall, i timed the trays sitting there, and they sat for 20 minutes. Missed medications on several occasions and then they would lie to you and say that they gave them to you. Needed more therapy that was given orders from my personal doctor, and orthopedic surgeon and 90% of my therapy consisted of a ultrasound and biofreeze. Didn't like the idea of being intimidated by the aids and also the social worker. Didn't like the idea of them making up accusations to get their point across. And the social worker Brenda needs to be fired for the way she treats people and the way she comes across. Their head therapy person was wrong on saying that I didnt need anymore therapy when my doctor and orthopedic surgeon said that I needed more therapy and I had to make the decision to leave there so I can get the proper therapy else where. Then the social worker made it sound like I was leaving against medical advice when there was no medical advice given. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone because of the negligence, miss meds, and bad attitudes with some of the staff and aids. And I am now getting the proper therapy now that I am no longer in this facility. This place is definitely not 5 stars. Your social Brenda needs to be fired for her negligence and God complex.
