I'M A RESIDENT AT DEER PARK ASSITTED LIVING AND HE IS SUCH A PLEASURE TO HAVE AROUND.IF I NEED SOMETHING FIXED HE EITHER FIXES IT OR HE MAKES SURE IT GETS FIXED IN A TIMELY MATTER .I PERSONALLY FEEL HE IS A GREAT PERSON TO HAVE ON YOUR TEAM . I HAVE BEEN HERE 4 IN A HALF MONTHS NOW AND WOULD PERSONALLY WOULD SUGGEST THIS FACILITY TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GREAT PLACE FOR A LOVED ONE. I APOLOGIZE FOR THE LACK OF MY GRAMMAR SKILLS BUT I MEAN EVERY WORD I SAID IN THIS LETTER. THANK YOU. MR . BOUNDS
It's not the nicest place in town. But the best value around! [name removed], The Director is top notch.
We visited Deer Park Assisted Living. We enjoyed it. It was a nice visit. The staff was very nice, friendly, and organized. It seemed like a very nice place. The tour went through the entire location. We viewed several rooms, and we walked to the community outside. It was a nice, thorough view of the entire area. Their staffing is one of the strong points I like about them. From the time that we walked in up to the time we walked out, they were very nice. We called back afterwards to ask a couple of questions, and we got some good service. Another reason why we liked it is that they were in the process of upgrading the flooring and trying to make it a very nice place.
Some staff were amazing and others were not good at all There were very few in the middle They couldn't despense meds at night and didn't have a night nurse in memory care despite saying they did The food was standard but they did have difficulties in making it align with the resident's preferences The memory care patients were not engaged as much in activity, even activities appropriate for their abilities General care seemed to be better though
I moved my mom to assisted living here. From the very start things were rocky. Biggest issue is the call buttons/pendents DO NOT WORK on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The nurses also do not wait for the patient to take their meds. So if they drop them or set them down. They don’t get taken. My mom fell several times here but the last time she fell it was because they weren’t giving her the medication that was on the list from the day I moved her in, and they tried to blame me because I picked up enough pills to get her through the weekend when I first moved her in. It’s dirty, everywhere. Her apartment was dirty when we moved in. Shaunna does not listen to what you say. She lays blame instead. I wouldn’t move my dog in here. It’s terrible. I will say the nursing staff was nice, that’s about all that was good. My advice…. Stay away.
What we like the most about Deer Park are the people. Based on the experience we have had so far, we have already recommended this community to others and will continue to do so
So glad they are ripping up the carpet! Hardwood floors!
