Everyone is so nice here! The therapists are wonderful. I wasn’t walking when I got here in October and now I’m walking thanks to the marvelous physical and occupational therapists. The nurses and the nursing assistants are fantastic. They are patient and kind. Everyone treats me like I’m their family member. They often stop by just to give me a hug. It’s very clean here and the food is good. I love everyone here and it has become my home. My sweetums, the nurses and nursing assistants are all great!

Sending a loved one to a care facility is never an easy decision, but the team at Eastgatespring made us feel like family from day one. The nurses and aides are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always took the time to treat my family with genuine dignity and respect. It’s clear that the staff here really cares about creating a positive community. From the engaging daily activities to the lovely outdoor areas like the gazebo, there is a very calm and pleasant energy throughout the building. Thank you to the entire Eastgatespring team for your hard work and dedication!

Wow, I have so much good things. I can say my son have 45 years old had cancer brain cancer and went through some brain surgery then went into the very other serious conditions. He was a patient of the James Center in Columbus for 3 1/2 years. I found the right place to bring him home too and the only place and I’m so thankful that I did. I’ve been a caregiver for 45 years myself and I understand and relate to fears that family may have a bringing their family members into healthcare settings, but let me tell you this My Son was very well cared for loved and appreciated. They seem that he had everything he needed no matter what I cannot explain the love in the compassion that he was shown in all aspects of his care so if I was to ever put anyone of my other family members in a healthcare setting again, it would be Eastgate healthcare they go above and beyond to make sure that the patients that they do have and I seen it are well cared for if there is a hiccup and sometimes there may because no one is perfect. They make sure that hiccup is perfected and not ever in place again so trust me my name is Pamela Roark and this would be the place that I would always come to for any of my family members thank you so very much.

I did my rehab stay at Eastgatesprings and everyone was so nice!!!! The therapy worked me hard, but it paid off because they helped me get home safely. I'm thankful for all their support.

My father was placed there for rehab. Unfortunately after surgery he had a severe cognitive decline. He was unable to feed himself the 1st two days at the nursing home. Do you think anyone tried to feed him? No. We would walk into his room with the food still covered. By the forth day of no eating, we asked for Ensures but were declined stating he had to have an order for it. They have an obvious issue with staffing. It would take them 10 minutes or longer to answer a call light. Then when two aides were needed for pulling, it was whenever they could find two available aides. Funny thing is that I would go to the end of the hall and there was never less than 4 nurses/aides sitting in there talking or looking on their phones. Every time I was there which was almost daily, they would go 3 hours without checking on him. Never any water on his tray to stay hydrated. Floor was always sticky. I accidentally went to the 1st floor one day where the nursing floor is and the stench of urine filled the hallway. They definitely have a staffing issue and could use training on empathy. My father is doing so much better at home. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Lisa K the “nurse” is extremely rude. If you’re selfish, rude, and mean you shouldn’t be in healthcare. I have never met a nurse be so inconsiderate to how she makes her patients and their families feel. This is the last thing people need to deal with when they are already having medical issues. I really hope you guys figure out her attitude because I will not deal with this.

Choosing a skilled nursing facility for my mom was a difficult decision, but our experience so far has been very reassuring. From the very beginning, the nurses Ashley and Sarah who admitted her made a wonderful first impression. They were incredibly pleasant, took the time to answer all of our questions, and truly went out of their way to make sure my mom had everything she needed and felt comfortable. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, which gave us additional peace of mind. We’ve also been very impressed with the therapy team. they’ve been attentive, encouraging, and great to work with. Overall, we feel grateful for the care and compassion shown to my mom and appreciate the positive environment the staff has created.

My husband Earl Randy Ritchie was in Eastgate Springs in the skilled rehabilitation section. He was sent there after being released from the Veterans Hospital of Cincinnati. We were told that he would get the physical and occupational therapy he needed in order to come home and be able to be independent. Upon my visits he was always in bed, never sitting up in his wheel chair or regular chair. He never was encouraged to go to the dining room to take his meals or socialize. We were told that he would only get showered on Friday and Tuesday. My question to them was “how would you like or feel if you only showered twice a week”. They did shower him more frequently. Him having his call light answered was a joke. He layed in his own urine most of the time. He fell out of bed and layed on the floor for probably an hour because his call bell was out of reach. He wound up with a UTI as he was cauterized inappropriately. He was released from this facility after 9 days with the assumption that he could go home and be independent. He was home 2 days and had to go directly back to Mercy Anderson and given the diagnosis of failure to thrive. He was not strong enough to pull himself up off the floor after falling in our home 4 times. It took 8 days to rebuild some strength at Mercy Anderson and be strong enough to be released to Encompass Acute Rehabilitation Unit. We have much faith that Earl will get the help and care he needs at this ARU that he did not receive at Eastgate Springs. I would not recommend my worst enemy to go to Eastgate Springs for skilled rehabilitation! It just won’t happen. Their food was not edible unless you were starving. The worker’s uniforms looked liked they had slept in them and their shoes looked like they had walked through mud puddles and never cleaned then.
