This facility should be avoided. The nursing staff ignores the patients lights when something is needed. The facility is dirty, floors not swept or mopped. Dust an inch thick along the walls and corners. The laundry appears to not be getting done either. My mother has waited for several days for her clothes to be returned with no satisfaction when staff is asked. Their response is they don't know. Send your loved ones somewhere else. I chose this place because of the 5 star rating, as I see now , the rating is severely padded probably by staff. AVOID... Update, I took a few pictures just to…

I chose this place because of the 5 star rating, as I see now , the rating is severely padded probably by staff. AVOID... Update, I took a few pictures just to show how well your maintenance and housekeeping really is. The pictures speak for themselves. Again I will stress the importance of placing loved ones elsewhere. This is the worst building for seniors I've ever encountered.

I have been visiting a friend of mine for over a month at Unger Park. I witness all employees busy every visit, but they always take time if we have a question etc.. I want to give a shout out to Rhonda Chatman for going above and beyond to help keep the spirits up of my dear friend, for brushing his hair and braiding it. I visited my friend tonight to see Rhonda step in the room to bring a cup of ice and to discuss a future beard trimming for my friend. This isn’t the 1st time she’s done this. Keep up the good work! Thanks for all you do!

It is very clean and nice place!

For the love of God do not send your loved one here! The 3rd shift nurses DO NOT care about their residents. All they do is stay outside and smoke all night. Had they been inside when my mother needed them she wouldn't have died. Mia, let my mother suffer.

It's a nursing home come check it out

This place is so filthy and it stinks, very outdated looks like from the 80s. The care is horrible

Came to see someone out here and the nurse would not even look at me when I spoke to her. She had a bad attitude and eventually quit responding to any questions I had very unpleasant.

Please if you have any say whatsoever do not send your love ones here. Most of the aides are nice. That being said there definitely is a lack of communication and training. Residents that cannot speak for themselves are left in soiled clothing, left to sit for hours with little or no one seeing if they need anything. Hours can go by without them being taken to the restroom or being changed, or even given a drink. There is a list of hourly duties but no way can one or two aides even come close to following it. Most the time there is one aide and if they are taking care (ex. bathing someone) the rest are fending for themselves. These are just a few examples. When you speak to the administration politely, and not so politely you can’t even get a straight answer that is followed through. Cleanliness is definitely lacking someone can have an accident and soil through their clothing and the chair doesn’t even get disinfected for the next unsuspecting person. Aides are suppose to call for help if they need it: 1. Most the time they don’t have the radio on them 2. No one answers when they call for help 3. Family members that are visiting are taking care of residents because the aid needs help 4. Family members have to run and get help because the aide can’t get anyone to answer. When asked about continued training for employees answer is it’s offered!! Why isn’t this mandatory? When you have aides coming from different areas to help out and they say I haven’t been trained or I had 15 minutes of training for this unit. Would you let your child or grandchildren be watched by someone that doesn’t take care of them because they are to busy??Or watched by someone that has so many kids they are watching that they can’t possibly handle it all? If every time you come to pick them up and they were heavily soiled? What if they told you they haven’t had a drink for 4 or 5 hours? What if they told you nobody watched them for an hour? You would definetly have concern and questions. Please don’t let this happen to your older love ones!! I feel hurt and worried everyday!! It’s hard when your sitting there watching a family take a tour for one of their loved ones and listening to them be misled. Please if you are considering this place drop in, sit for awhile, observe and ask other families that are there. You are already going through one of the hardest times in your life!! Hugs, love and most definitely prayers for you and your love one!! The patients don’t even get taken outside where it is fenced in and activities (which help with depression, anxiety, boredom) are far in between. Final note: I’ve asked this of the administration. I was told this unit is new and were working on it. What I asked was if we can’t take care of family member by ourselves with dementia how can you expect one aide to take care of 13 or 14 dementia patients by themselves, ( and some of the aides with little training or none in dementia? I really do appreciate the aides it’s not fair to them or the residents!!
