The facility itself is quite nice and reasonably well designed. It was clean. However, if I had it to do over again, I would ask many more, much more specific questions about the level and type of care that would be given. It was not a good fit for my brother.
At this time, Liberty no longer offers independent living; only assisted living. The day after Christmas 2024, mom fell in her room and shattered her arm. She lay for over 4 hours until we found her. No one came to check on her when she didn't show up for lunch, but they were supposed to. We found her when we came to visit. She is now in a nursing home, recovering. The excuse we were offered was they were short of staff and didn't want to spare anyone to make wellness checks. They were recently bought by a Texas firm; thus the transition to assisted living.
I would say our experience fell far short of our expectations. The level of assistance given was inadequate.Overall, our experience with Liberty did not generate enough confidence in their care to provide hospice care for our loved one.
The staff are wonderful and caring people! They are great to work with and were very patient and supportive as we went through the intake process.
Stay away!!! Recently Liberty Residence was purchased, and the new owners decided to eliminate the independent living for the more lucrative assisted living. The residents have been given less than a months' notice to decide and less than 2 months to find a new home and move if they cannot afford the new rates. DO NOT trust any business that will turn the elderly out of their homes like these people are doing.
It is great. It's friendly, it's clean, it's cozy, and it's very homey. I have a kitchen. I have one bedroom and one living room. It's all quite nice the way it's put together. They provide three meals a day. The staff members are very friendly and very non-intrusive. They're there if you want them, and if they're not, then you don't see them. The food is great. With regards to activities, they have card games and different programs, and they take you places. They have a bus here that belongs to them, and they take people shopping and to different events.
Liberty Residence has been great. What our family likes the most about the community is that they have very nice people there and at a reasonable cost
The laundry room needs attention. The staff changes often. The food is not edible, my loved one has to buy her own groceries. I rated Value for Cost lower due to the food/buying her own groceries issue. Overall, I would recommend this facility to family and friends.
