I want to focus on the Bodman Center on the MK campus. My 95-year-old father came here after many enjoyable years with my mother in an MK residential unit. It’s a tough change to Bodman, with end-of-life matters starting to speed up. But the people who have been on duty on the third floor of Bodman have been SO wonderful since Dad got here. And I want to single them out: Nurse supervisors Tiki and Dee always had their plates full, yet always found time to stop by and answer any questions we had, or to just say hello. It’s so good know that the supervisors running the floor have been completely on top of his case from day one. Dayshift nurses Sherri and Tiana, and night nurses Jane and Rita, were never far away. Their work was so professional, but it was more than that. They were fun and interesting to talk to out in the hallway! When the hours in the room got a little tedious for me, they were great nurses and great pals. Same with aides Whitney, Annette, and Lala on days, and night aides Dana and Myra. The whole gang was terrific, both professionally and, more importantly, as kind people making a tough situation better for everyone. So if you’re considering coming to Maple Knoll, I can tell you that one of the levels of care over at the Bodman center is more than up to the job!

We went there for a TCA train show. There not a lot of vendors this time around. I purchased some things, my grandson purchased a few things.

We’ve been here at Maple Knoll Village for about 6 months and couldn’t be happier. The folks here are all very welcoming and friendly. The staff is outstanding and will do just about anything for you. You have plenty of activity options ranging from book clubs to water aerobics to weekly get together. You choose what interests you or even learn something new. Great place to live and thrive!!

i wount live there if they paid me to

In 2020, my Aunt was living at Bodman in their long term care section. She was on the 2nd floor, and was happy there. Her son visited her every morning and every evening. English was her 2nd language and she had a hearing impairment. You had to shout to be heard. When the shut down occurred, there seemed to be no way for her to communicate with her son. Being on the 2nd floor, he couldn't be heard through a window. The phone was not an option either, because of her hearing. A caring Aide took it upon herself to bring in a laptop. She would Facetime with my cousin and my Aunt and if need be, she would shout the conversation to my Aunt. It took love, ingenuity and patience, but they found a solution.

Disappointing Admissions Experience and Poor Follow-Up My experience with the Bodmann Pavilion admissions team has been below poor. Follow-up on calls and emails was minimal, and even when I did get a response, it felt dismissive — as though my efforts to secure care for my dad were an inconvenience rather than a priority. For a facility with such a long-standing reputation, I expected more compassion, consistency, and professionalism in their communication. Instead, I was left feeling like I was harassing them just for trying to get my questions answered. Families deserve better responsiveness during what is already a stressful process.

Enjoy the pool the water was nice and warm
