Our mom decided when it was time to consider where her future care and daily living needs would be met. Marjorie P Lee easily met her criteria. She really enjoyed everything that MPL has to offer, the other residents, the people who work there, and the location. My brothers and I have been very pleased that she was happy and well taken care of at Marjorie P Lee.
Don't pay the nurse for doing your parents pills they don't make sure they take them multiple weeks go missed of meds they are playing games talk about poor service for the price you pay. This is not the first time it's going to end in some one getting badly hurt because they simply do not care and lie and make excuses about it. they also had a resident that had bed bugs that they kept giving to my grandparents via the housekeeper and they threatened to kick them out because housekeeping doesn't change the vacuum bags which is what was causing them to get the bugs definitely find a different…

Wonderful, caring staff.
Our mom transferred to Marjorie P. Lee from Mariemont Care Center. The experience has been incredible. Our mom is 92 and had a broken pelvis in 3 places. As soon as we transferred her, she had a team of care people surrounding her: social workers, therapists, Aides, Nurses and even the cleaning staff. All the personnel seem to love their jobs, take pride in providing quality care and really care about the people they are treating. The first facility are mom was at was horrible. She was failing to thrive. In the 3 weeks at Marjorie P. Lee, she is up and walking and ‘independent’ once again. The joyful people surrounding our mom, the care that they express, the attention to details, all contributed directly to her recovery. I highly recommend them. These are all things that were missing at the first facility she stayed at. I know first had the difference and am so thankful we made the move! For family, a wrong facility can be great cause for anxiety. Our experience at Marjorie P Lee has been one of recovery for our mom and peace for the family members!
My father spent his final months at MPL. He was in the rehab facility after a fall and the moved to assisted living. He lived the gardens and food the most. The nurses, aids and other staff did a great job dealing with his health issues. He was especially fond of Shenna an aid the rehab. The whole family loved her. She knew how to motivate my dad and brighted his day. Jackie was also a joy to be with. She is small but mighty and knew how to get my dad on track. My dad died a few weeks ago. We're glad he had such great care in his final months.
Arrogant medical staff. Medical staff made treatment decisions based on intake assessment instead of evaluating symptoms that occurred 3 days post intake. No doctor or nurse practitioner bothered to evaluate the patient when she was complaining of extreme pain before making medication decisions, and ignored recommendations from hospice nurse. Arrogant LPN who asked patient to state her pain level from 1-10, and when patient replied 9, the LPN said "you don't look like you're a 9." Definitely a "we know best" philosophy that does not prioritze the patient. When patient was being cleaned by nurses, family was subjected to listening to patient screaming "I hope you are killing me because I can't take any more of this." Horrific experience. We moved her to the nursing facility at the Kenwood Senior Star where she had wonderful, patient centric and empathetic care. What a mistake to subject our mother to MPL.
If you’re thinking about joining the dining staff here don’t do it .. they use personal feelings to make decisions and try to force you to work every holiday I recently just had a newborn and my fiancé had a minor setback because they kept denying my request off and unfortunately, they pretty much was trying to make me choose my job over my family so again, if you have smaller kids, don’t work here
I am grateful for the exceptional care my mother received at MPL. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that this facility is a sanctuary of compassion and professionalism. The staff’s genuine empathy and dedication created an environment where my mother felt safe, valued, and truly cared for. The personalized attention and activities offered were remarkable, providing not only physical comfort but also emotional and mental stimulation. MPL fostered a sense of community, keeping us closely involved in her care. While saying goodbye was incredibly difficult, knowing that my mother was in such a loving and supportive environment brought us immense comfort. I wholeheartedly recommend MPL to anyone seeking a nurturing and respectful place for their loved ones.
