I will never forgive myself for choosing to put my mother here . It is not the same as it was when the original O’Neill started it and cared They have since passed. The memory care Is horrible they are treated like second class compared to everywhere else. The activities director Ronda is great and A few of the nurses. My Mother had many injuries I have pictures and dates and the excuses I was given for each one. Asked for reports on them and never received them. I don’t believe they were ever turned in.tThere will never be another family member put in this establishment. They supposedly have a dietitian, making up the Menu she needs to be fired. This is all they have to look forward to in Memory care and it is flavorless and dry and most of the time their dessert is pears Or fruit cocktail from a can. I pray for those that are taken care of in memory care every night now. The one star I gave is for those hard-working few nurses who cared and for Ronda in activities

My mom was dying of cancer and in a lot of pain gave her Tyonal for her pain instead of Morphine because they said when she was at Metro they gave her morphine and said she was hulustionating let’s get real here if your dying they should gave her something stronger than Tyonal and then they wanted to give her therapy WHY? She died a few hours after.

Thankful for the staff at O'Neill North Olmsted. Locally owned and operated, the owners are involved in day to day operations. We are fortunate to have such a good option in our community.

I visit some of the patients here and they are not being properly cared for at all. One patient, Sofia, is unable to feed herself…. The staff is aware of this yet they still don’t feed her. On May 13th, 2026, I visited Sofia and found her hanging off of her bed, almost falling off. When her food arrived, I asked if she needed me to help her eat, she nodded. She was unable to remain seated upright in her bed to eat. I went to Beth and asked if I could put the recliner that had been Sofia’s former roommate’s into Sofia section of the room so I can sit her up and feed her. Beth told me to let maintenance move it the next day. I explained she needed to eat now and that I would be able to move it. She stated that she didn’t want me to move it because it was heavy and if I dragged it across the fall the floor would get scratched, that the floors had just been installed. Beth chose the floors over feeding Sofia. Not once did she offer to send any staff to feed Sofia. Today I went to visit Sofia again. She was hunched over, half hanging off of her bed, food all over the floor and under her feet. Also Sofia is covered in bruises, unbathed to the point where it’s almost unbearable. Then there’s “Nancy”. Some how some way “Nancy” is missing her teeth. Again I spoke with Beth. Beth stated they searched all over but couldn’t find them. Sofia was also missing her teeth. I spoke with another staff member there and was told it’s common practice at Oneills to starve the patients out and let them die. I’ve been frequenting this facility for months. Yes some staff is good, but not the ones running it. I often hear patients screaming and crying in their rooms, the people I visit are almost always crying when I show up. The staff really leaves a lot of the patients, especially ones that don’t have frequent visitors, to die. There is no rest for the patients, there is no comfort for them. This isn’t just a matter of don’t put your loved ones here, this is injustice, a lack of humanity. Care for the sick takes more than a degree. It takes compassion and mercy and many of the staff just don’t have that.

After looking at many assisted living options for my Mom we chose O’Neill’s and couldn’t be happier. Since moving to O’Neills she is now thriving. The activities they offer are outstanding and the staff make it a very at home environment. Best decision we could have made.

Beware. They take down negative reviews. This place ended my father's life. My first responder family member was told by staff that my father was conscious, joking with staff when they administered morphine to him rather than sending him to the hospital for Covid pneumonia. He was given Morphin without his knowledge and feel asleep and died shortly after. Staff called my sister, the POA to ask what to do when my father's oxygen levels dropped, this sister didn't want to be bothered to take the call so her husband got on the phone and told staff to give my father "comfort care." Staff listened to someone who was NOT the POA and went against Ohio law that states my father had a right to decide his own care. All while telling my other sister over the phone that my father was stable and they were treating him. My father called me desperate 12 hours before he died to beg me to get him out of O'Niels. He told me that they were going to "kill him" if he stayed, scared of the neglect. I assured him that I would move him the following week but sadly he was right about O'Neils. Other than that desperate plea he sounded fine on the phone and told me he was well. Our conversation was interrupted as his neighbor arrived to visit him. Now this neighbor told us that my father was cognitively as sharp as can be and looked like he could "walk right out of the place" and later told us that he was utterly shocked by his passing only 12 hours later. I have a different first responder family member that told me that during a visit he found my father was found to be sitting in urine and stool soaked bedding and when they asked the nurse to change the sheets she responded that it was "not her job." My father was really only in O'Neils to get physical therapy after along hospital visit. He had greatly improved in the hospital but was weak after being bed ridden for so long. At O'Neils because of the holidays and staff shortages he didn't get the therapy he needed or that was promised. He also told me of a horrible incident where he was left in a chair naked for a very long period of time after he was helped out of the shower and the nurse left and never came back to help him get dressed. Lastly, staff were absolutely horrible when I inquired about my father's death after I found out he passed. Naturally, I was confused as he was not a person on his death death. The nurse I spoke to told me my father was given morphine and when I asked why he wasn't sent to the hospital she told me that he had an DNR. This is horrifying! When I told her that a DNR doesn't mean they can give him morphine she got very nasty on the phone. I never raised my voiced or accused her as I was just questioning what had happened as nothing made sense. In shock I ended the call with her telling me I can call back and speak to the nurse that was attending at the time of his death. When I called back I was coldly told that the medical records were closed by the "POA." Again, this is not possible and nonsense. When I called two more times to speak with administration I was again met very coldly. No one gave any condolences except one very young receptionist, no nurse or administrator. Instead some arrogant rude fellow named Thomas from O'Neils left me a voice mail to call him. When I called him back and asked him if he could give me more information about my father passing he replied with "Didn't I listen to what people were saying at the funeral?" The answer was No. No, because O'Neils refused to speak to my sister and I other than a brief 3 minute call where the nurse told me and I quote; "your father wanted it.... he had a DNR!"

The staff and nurses are very poor in getting medications on time and with no patience towards the residence living there and the help of aids are very poor and not much help on time when needed bad and the food is so cold every time and very poorly with portions and they say its $ 12;000 a month to what live in a dump like that with no AC always boiling hot windows only aloud to be open roughly 6-8 inches wow 😳 I'd sooner be homeless.sighned disgusted with the health care facility for ever

I have dealt with Oneills for 2 years now. There is always someone to handle problems that may come up, they have a really good team. Hanna is the administrator and she goes the extra mile to help. Everyone is so nice. It's a great place to live.
