After Mom lived in an assisted living facility for a number of years, she was asked to move from there as her demand for care increased. We initially moved her to a corporate owned, traditional nursing home with a memory care wing. The turnover in staffing and the lack of attention to details, cleanliness and communication with the family prompted us to look elsewhere. My Mom lived here for about 2 years and it was one of the best decisions we made! The staff is very caring and attentive. The food is fantastic! After Mom lived in an assisted living facility for a number of years, she was asked to move from there as her demand for care increased. We initially moved her to a corporate owned, traditional nursing home with a memory care wing. The turnover in staffing and the lack of attention to details, cleanliness and communication with the family prompted us to look elsewhere. We were extremely pleased to find Our Family Home's facility on Miami Hills. The true measuring stick of any facility of this type is the quality of the people and this place pegs the meter in this regard!
I Been With Our Family Home 3 Years I Love My Job I Come To Work Everyday Ready to Work Our Staff Is Amazing Our Family Home Is More Than a 9 to 5 . My residents are my family I care for them as I would care for my grandparents. We Work 3 Days A Week So We Are Never Overwhelmed . We Cook Meals off of a 4 week Menu We Make Sure Our residents are Full And Never Hungry , We Push Fluids and provide the best care :)
Beautiful facility! The staff is like family! We have had such a great experience! The ratio of caregivers to patients is the best in Cincinnati, we went to many facilities and we were surprised to find a 5:2 ratio! We were even shocked to find that it’s actually cheaper than a nursing home! This facility is always spotless and always smells clean! I also love that it feels like home..... I walked in on Wednesday to find two residents in their wheelchairs doing yoga with one of the caregivers! I was so impressed! They even have the cutest therapy dog that comes to see the residents. DO NOT put your loved one in this facility. Run from this place! They tell you one thing to your face and then do another when family is not around. My husband developed a stage 3 bed wound there. The wound doctor did a blood work up and it was determined that he was malnourished. The food is subpar at best and only water is given to drink most of the time. They say they give snacks twice a day and hydrate patients. While there my husband was hospitalized for dehydration and rarely saw snacks given to residents. The employees spend too much time on cell phone and there is constant turnover in staff. Activities are non existent even though advertised that they have them. There is no nurse on duty or available to do anything nursing even though they advertise a "nurse concierge". There is a constant push to put your love one on hospice. Our doctor said my husband was not ready for hospice yet they continually pushed for it. Putting a resident on hospice also means less work for them. One night dinner thawing in the sink with dirty dishes on top! A resident reported to me that my husband had not been treated well but staff kept brushing it off saying he didn't know what he was talking about. I believed the resident because he was was lucid and knew exactly what he was talking about! This person had a computer in his room and also used door dash.

My loved one has lived here for nearly 3 years. It is the best care in the city and I can't imagine where we would be without [removed]!!
