I have visited many Senior Living communities. My Mum was in Assisted Living before she passed and my Dad was in a Memory Care Community before he passed a couple of months ago. I understand the emotions and stress of selecting the best Community. Elmcroft is a special place. The caring and teamwork allow the residents to have a more fulfilled and safe lifestyle. The staff genuinely care for the residents and treat them like family. This is NOT Senior Living of old, Elmcroft Sagamore Hills is a clean, fresh and fun environment. I recommend Elmcroft!
I was impressed by the Management and Staff. Everyone was warm and kind to my Father. The facility is clean and well kept. I highly recommend Elmcroft as a beautiful respite for your family member!
This occurred in 2018, so hopefully things have changed. My father's dementia was declining and I was told by his independent living facility and his doctor that he would need to be placed in memory care. I contacted Elmcroft Sagamore Hills and explained his situation and that he was on limited fixed income. The "saleswoman" for lack of better term, said they could accommodate us, place him in an assisted living room and then transfer him to a shared room in Memory care when a bed opens up to keep the cost the same. We toured the Memory care, viewed a shared room, and was assured this would be the plan when I signed the paperwork. When the facility doctor said he needed Memory Care, they reneged. They said going to Memory Care would require a new contract. The director said she was on vacation that week and whoever filled in for her was the one I dealt with, who had since moved to Pennsylvania. Even the regional director denied and defended this "bait and switch" deception. Much hardship, stress, and confusion was caused by having to scramble to find another facility for him and move him.
Clean, organized, well managed.
My mom has now been at Elmcroft for a couple of months. It is certainly her home away from home. I have come to know the team there as a second family. Melissa at the reception desk is extremely helpful all the time. Mike helped us to move my.mom in and help her to be comfortable in her room. Sue, the nursing director is very personable and helpful in understanding moms level of care. Phil and Dave helped us to understand all the facilities services and are very responsive to her needs. Thank you to Rachelle also for making my comfortable and keeping her relaxed. The nurses and NP are very attentative to my mom and her daily needs. They are all interested in trying to to help my mom keep her independence although many a days she needs more help on some days. They are all willing to help her. Thank you.Elmcroft team for taking care of my mom.
Last month I visited Elmcroft and found a clean, well organized friendly place. We decided to move mom here and could not have felt more as ease with our decision. Phillip and his team were easy to work with, thank you! I got the incentive for March which made this choice an easy one for us.
It was the best one we've seen. It was very clean and they seemed very caring. We talked to a nurse who was very helpful and very thorough with everything. Everyone has gotten their shots and everything seemed very personable. We liked the way everything looked and we got a good feeling while in there. The rooms were nice. They were bigger than I thought and they all seemed clean. The dining area looked nice, too, but we didn't taste a meal. The place seemed welcoming, and the people were talking to you and asking you questions. They made you feel comfortable. I did not look at the activities because my dad would not be interested in them, but they had this sheet of paper with the list of activities on it.
