In august of 2024 I moved my mother into saint Clare's assisted living. I was her P.O.A. and all correspondence went through me at my home in Perrysburg. From August 2024 to her passing on November 7th of 2025 the monthly bills were sent to me and were always paid on time. After her passing I expected the final bill. When it did not arrive I attributed it to the holidays. Consequently it had slipped my mind. On June 26 this year on a Friday night my brother, who was not involved in my mother's care or finances, received in the mail a letter from a collections lawyer stating the final bill was…

When it did not arrive I attributed it to the holidays. Consequently it had slipped my mind. On June 26 this year on a Friday night my brother, who was not involved in my mother's care or finances, received in the mail a letter from a collections lawyer stating the final bill was not paid. The lawyer and St Clare Commons were able to locate my brother who lives in Graytown Ohio but were not able to locate me even though they had my phone number, email, and address the whole time. The following Monday June 29 I visited the Facility and asked to speak to the financial manager, only to discover that she had been off work for a month. I then spoke to the resident advocate whom I had dealt with several times and had a good working relationship with. She contacted the administrator and told me they would be in touch. On July 8 I called the advocate and left a message stating I had not heard anything. When I visited on 6/29 I asked for the payment history also. Finally on July 9th I received an email stating that corporate would not talk with me and I had to deal with the collections lawyer. I am planning to purchase a new vehicle soon and now have a mark on my credit score due to St Clare Commons incompetence. Now i am left to clean up the mess. thank you for that
My mom recently moved into the assisted living facility at St Clare Commons. My family and I weren’t sure how she would do since this wasn’t her home. But my mom has just settled right in and she loves it there. She helps other residents whenever she can and she is involved in all the activities. This facility has been a godsend to my family and my mom. It’s very nice inside. The food is delicious. And all of the activities are thought out and well organized. The nursing staff is great! My one and only complaint is that I wish the communication between the staff and family was better. I think…

My one and only complaint is that I wish the communication between the staff and family was better. I think some kind of platform where you could reach out to them would be very helpful. My experience with Melissa in billing has been very positive. I especially appreciate Colleen Fisher who has been absolutely amazing. She has been there for me and my family through the entire process. She is a wonderful person.
I accompanied a friend on a tour of the facilities because she wanted a second set of eyes who had experience with assisted living. (My friends parents are currently in independent living at another facility but are needing more care) Colleen Fisher gave our tour and she was great. She was able to answer questions about how they can transition 2 people with very different needs but still accommodate them in the same building. She also answered specific questions pertaining to finances, drs, and social challenges. The entire time, she was still acknowledging residents by name and with a smile.…

On a personal note this has been very stressful for my friend and within minutes of meeting and starting the tour I could see her relax and realize that not only does she have options but someone to walk her through those options.
My first visit to Saint Clare Commons I was in awe of the beautiful chapel just inside the front door. The weekly church services and various prayer services has made a lasting impression on me. St. Clare Commons stands out because of its deep commitment to its mission and the strong community it fosters. The TEAM exhibits compassion and inclusion for the residents and families they serve. The ED and DON bring a new set of ideas and visionary leadership to the TEAM. This commitment sets Saint Clare apart by creating a vibrant and supportive environment in Perrysburg. The staff display a compassionate dedication to advancing social justice in caring for all residents while creating a positive experience for residents and families alike.
Beautiful campus with highly compassionate staff, families, and residents that make it home. The food is great too!
As an outsider visiting a friend at St. Clare Commons, I was immediately struck by the incredibly welcoming atmosphere that permeates the entire facility. From the moment I stepped inside, there was a palpable sense of peace and comfort. The common areas are beautifully maintained, bright, and clearly designed for both relaxation and social interaction. Every corner I observed was spotless, reflecting a commitment to order and cleanliness that is truly impressive and contributes greatly to a feeling of well-being for residents and visitors alike. What truly impressed me was the genuine kindness and attentiveness of the staff I observed. Interactions with residents seemed to be filled with respect, patience, and a genuine desire to assist. My friend spoke highly of their daily care, and I could see firsthand the positive, supportive community atmosphere. St. Clare Commons feels less like a facility and more like a true home where people are valued and cared for with dignity. Based on my visit, this is clearly a top-tier establishment that goes above and beyond, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a caring and beautiful environment.
There was a major staffing shortage over the Christmas holiday!! There was alot of neglect because they were full to capacity, but not hardly enough help. My dad did not get the care he should have received. I have a list, not just from my dad and myself, but from others who visited him. I can say one thing good, that the Champlain was very supportive during and after my father passed away. Some staff were also, but very much overworked. 😔 The facility is beautiful, but make sure you are an advocate for your loved ones no matter where they are being cared for.
The community and staff are wonderful. I’m very grateful and happy my mother found an amazing place to call home.
